New Developments in Kristin Smart Case

There has been a huge break in the case of missing college student Kristin Smart. The then nineteen-year-old Cal Poly student went missing after a college party on Memorial Day weekend in 1996.

The home of Susan Flores, the mother of suspect Paul Flores, is currently being investigated. Soil tests are being run and it is believed that compounds related to a decomposing human body have been found.

Paul Flores, who was a fellow college classmate of Kristin’s, and his father Ruben have been tied to the case since the beginning and were arrested in connection to it in 2021.

Paul was found guilty in her murder and was sentenced to 25-life in prison. Ruben was acquitted for his role in the crime.

Kristin was declared legally dead in 2002.
