Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage Recap for 5/7/2026

 

Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage on CBS opens with Kelli with an I doing the weather. Jim says it isn’t Mandy and Connor says that Kelli is cute and didn’t bully him as a kid.

Jim makes him change it when Georgie gets home with mail. He gets something from the Chamber of Commerce, with him and Jim trying to explain what it is to Connor. He says it sounds like a cult, while Jim comments that Audrey joining Tupperware was a cult.

 

Mandy finds it cool and he decides to check it out. He discusses it with Ruben at work and they decide it is a good idea for business.

 

At the meeting, Ruben and Georgie mingle and talk to Jerry, who tells them they will be happy to have them on board. They meet the first Wednesday of the month, so Georgie volunteers Ruben to go, since he has nothing going on. Ruben doesn’t like it, nor does he like being put down, so Georgie offers to buy him chili to make up for it.

 

Ruben and Georgie continue to mingle and meet a couple who seem to like Georgie, but are weirded out by Ruben trying too hard. Georgie says Ruben got a haircut for them, but Ruben was again insulted by him.

 

Audrey and Jim make plans to go to the nursery when Georgie comes home to say that he is the youngest member of the Chamber of Commerce. The youngest member was previously 32 and the oldest member in their fifties, with Mandy and Audrey telling him to watch what he says.

 

Georgie wants Mandy to make this into a news story, but she doesn’t think it is a good idea. At work, Georgie talks to Ruben and they decide to call Mandy’s rival Kelli….with Ruben calling her.

When Georgie gets home, he tells Mandy the news, upsetting her and causing her to storm out.

This leads to the men talking about their women at the store, while Jim and Georgie insulting Ruben about his lack of a love life. He insists women want to marry him, but they found out about each other.

 

Connor and Jim watch Kelli on the news, with Connor admitting he has a thing for her again. They then find out the story Georgie was going to do was cancelled because of Mandy, with Jim being upset and Connor finding it amusing.

 

This leads to Mandy and Georgie fighting and Jim trying to get food. Mandy wants him to leave and then gets even angrier when she finds out Jim watched her. He decides against food and leaves the kitchen.

 

Mandy talks to her boss, who wants her to hit back at Kelli to start a feud. She takes this advice by insulting Kelli’s life and nose. Audrey is appalled while the rest of the family is amused.

 

Mandy is proud of this and compares it to the Nancy/Tonya incident which people are still talking about to this day. Georgie thinks it is odd, but listens to Mandy rant.

 

Kelli goes to Georgie to apologize while Ruben hits on her. She wants to make things better, even when Georgie tells her about Mandy punching someone in church. Ruben still tries to hit on her from behind the counter.

 

Kelli brings up the punching incident on air, causing the whole revelation with the woman who kissed Georgie to come out.

Mandy talks to Kelli and they decide to call a truce, oddly bonding over their cattiness….and then decide to keep it up for ratings. Mandy even stages a fight with Kelli, claiming she insulted CeeCee.

 

Mandy and her boss look for things to insult Kelli, including saying she is an exotic dancer (actually a ballet dancer) and her mom is in prison (assisted living). The boss asks about what Kelli can use against Mandy, leading to a montage of her past activities. Mandy says she is as clean as a whistle.
