Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage Recap for 4/30/2026
Tonight’s episode of Georgie and Mandy’s First Marriage on CBS opens with Connor reading the paper. Jim asks about it and they bond over their love of the jumble. Audrey says they can do it together, but Connor says he works alone.
Mandy tells everyone it is the anniversary of George’s death, so no one should bring it up to Georgie. When Georgie walks in, they all act awkward. Georgie, for his part, pretends like everything is fine and leaves. Connor says he was the only normal one.
Mary calls Ruben to tell him about the anniversary. When Georgie comes back in from lunch, he tells her she is on the phone but won’t let them talk. He then realizes the date and goes home to ask Mandy why she didn’t say anything. She says he seemed so happy that he didn’t want to bring it up.
At Mary’s, Georgie, Mandy, Missy and Mary all have dinner together and talk about George. Georgie is still upset that he forgot, so he wants to do something in George’s memory. He suggests putting up his name on the scoreboard.
Missy says that she will see it whenever she is under the bleachers with her friends. Mary wants to know why she is under the bleachers and Missy says that is where they all go to pray to Jesus.
Georgie meets with Tom and Wayne for beers. The guys think it is weird Georgie can buy them beers as Wayne tears up and they toast to George. They discuss making the new scoreboard, but Tom says they cannot afford it. Georgie says he will raise the money, with Wayne dontating fifty, then one hundred when Georgie says this was his best friend.
Tom says he is a good salesmen.
At home, Connor donates one hundred as well (borrowed from Audrey), while Jim and Audrey donate five hundred. Connor wants to donate one hundred more, but Jim tells him to stop.
At the store, Ruben donates five, then twenty. Fred then comes in and bothers them, but then throws in one hundred dollars. Ruben wants to take his twenty back.
Missy also donates money that she got by selling MeeMaw’s cigarettes. Georgie says they still need more money, so Missy suggests crying. She demonstrates how it works and Jim falls for it.
Mandy goes to take a shower. Georgie plans on joining her when Tom calls and says Fred paid for the scoreboard. Georgie turns on the tears since Fred is paying for it and he doesn’t want to get it that way, which Mandy finds weird.
Georgie goes to the school and argues with Tom about Fred paying for the board and vows to raise more. As they debate (with Tom suggesting he donate the money to the library and Georgie saying Georgie was not a library coach), Missy comes in since she was caught selling cigarettes. She turns on the tears and Tom comforts her.
Georgie calls and argues with Lone Star beer to donate money and gets rejected. He tries to get Ruben and Jim to donate but no avail.
He then has a nightmare that Georgie loves the board so much that he considers Fred a son. It keeps Mandy up and the next morning, she tries to think of ideas….not including her washing cars in a bikini.
Georgie asks about doing a story about George on the news, but Mandy says she hasn’t been there long enough to ask. He freaks out on everyone and storms out, saying he is George Cooper’s only son, except for Sheldon.
Mary and Mandy discuss the Georgie and Fred conversation, so Mary goes to the store to visit Fred. The two of them fight, with Mary screaming him and scaring him into apologizing to Georgie and stepping away from the scoreboard.
The family goes to the football game and see that the snack bar is donated in George’s name since the scoreboard idea didn’t work out. Mandy thinks it is a better idea, while Missy wishes they had beer in George’s honor.
Wayne cries over the hot dogs as the episode comes to a close.
