Big Brother 28 Recap for 8/23/2026
Previously, on Big Brother 28 on CBS, the house turned on Kamu after he was backdoored.
Angela won BB Blockbuster, causing her to get off the block.
Haley and Kamu remained on the block, with everyone except La Trice voting to evict Kamu.
Confused? You won’t be at the end of this episode of Big Brother.
Mallory and Melody realize they need to do damage control, with the former feeling bad that La Trice was left out of the plan. Needless to say, La Trice is very upset and in tears.
Jerry O’Connell, Taylor Hale and Derrick Levasseur are on hand to give commentary since Big Brother Unlocked is airing in tandem. They bring out Danielle Reyes, BB icon and legend to join in on the commentary.
Cue an unaired scene where La Trice questions Angela, which upsets Taylor, who thinks her game is being targeted. This causes them to argue, with Yash thinking that La Trice may need to be targeted soon.
In another moment, La Trice apologizes to Haley. The apology was accepted, but Haley feels like it was straight up bullying. Respectfully (as said half a million times), they decide they still don’t like each other.
Another missing moment shows Mallory and Melody supporting Kamu and talking to Drew about the possibility of keeping him over Angela and Haley. Melody doesn’t trust Devens, while Drew doesn’t trust Kamu.
Jerry, Derrick and Taylor think that this could possibly turn the game on its head and any of the three could be targets later on in the game.
Kamu joins them and talks about being blindsided by the Diamond POV and we see a scene which made him the target. He talks about how a lot of this is brand new information, but he also says he feels like he had genuine friendships with many people in the house. Cue more unseen moments where the plan to target Kamu is put into action.
Next up is information about how bad the house and yard smells.
The BB Badass of the week is Devens.
The BB Dumbass is Yash.
Dee and Angela share a bonding moment when Dee feels homesick…..which leads to a sweet moment featuring Dee’s family.
Paul Abrahamian is in the house!
After some Creator Corner moments, where we find out Rome and Lyric are still going strong, Paul gives his own commentary about the season. He will be hosting the HOH comp.
After more talk on where members of the house stand, Intern Andy talks about the OTEV comp and what goes on behind the scenes.
The final BB Time Capsule was won by Drew. We will find out later if he got a power or punishment.
Back to the show. Haley is relieved to still be in the house, so she claims this will be her week.
Mallory talks about the change in vote and how she doesn’t feel bad about her vote itself, but feels bad about betraying Yash and Taylor.
Mallory and Melody try to comfort La Trice, but she keeps crying. La Trice, for her part, is disgusted, but plans on working things out to fix her game.
Yash discovers Drew is behind this whole change in events and is angry, saying Abraham Lincoln, Ceasar and Martin Luther King would NEVER do this. He wishes he would have gotten a heads up.
Taylor finally explains to La Trice what happened, saying she can trust Yash and La Trice only….maybe.
Paul is there to host the HOH comp…which takes place on August 23rd, 851…..the Viking era. They will need to race on the Viking racing course, with the fastest one to complete it winning HOH.
Angela is out first, followed by Haley, La Trice, Taylor, Drew, Mallory, Devens, Barrett and Melody, making Dee HOH for the second time.
Yash knows he is in trouble and regrets not taking the bribe. Devens, on the other hand, is happy she won because it ensures his safety. Melody, for her part, is worried about where she stands with Dee.
Dee and Devens have a victory party and plan on solidifying the Mosh Pit and taking down the other part of the house.
La Trice and Yash are Dee’s targets.
Taylor comforts La Trice, who is upset about Dee’s win. They talk about what to do and Taylor says she wants to get ‘down in the gutter.’
Later on, Dee tells La Trice that she is considering putting her up because she knows she wanted to put her up….even though La Trice knows she wasn’t the only one who wanted her gone. She starts naming names, saying Drew is the main one who should be targeted. Dee wonders if she should target him as well.
Yash also throws Drew, as well as Barrett under the bus to save himself, telling Dee they want her out of the house. She tells him she may put him up and offers him the bribe again. He decides to keep the icons safe if he wins HOH and takes the money.
Dee wants everyone in on the plan to put Drew on the block. She talks to him and Barrett, who throws Kamu under the bus. They bring Yash in the room to get his side so he can tell her what happened the night her name was brought up. He says Kamu wanted her out and Drew was also there when the meeting happened.
Yash says he has no loyalty to Drew for getting rid of Kamu, while Drew realizes he may be a target.
Drew gets his BB Time Capsule and is given the Never-Not Pass, meaning he can never be a Have Not again.
After getting his power, he talks to Dee and tells her about his power. They have a heart-to-heart about thw whole name drop debacle, but she never seems to buy what he is saying.
Nomination time! La Trice, Drew and Taylor are all on the block. It is all because they were conspiring against her, but La Trice and Taylor deny this. Drew also denies it and Taylor goes full Housewives on him, all but pulling a Teresa Giudice on him….which, would have been awesome to see!
Will we see more of the Taylor/Drew showdown? What will Yash do with the bribe money? Will Dee show off her HOH room again? Who will win POV? Will someone get backdoored?
These questions, and many others, will be answered on the next episode of Big Brother!
