Big Brother 12 Allison Grodner Interviewed Tuesday, June 8, 2010
Today we had the extreme pleasure of interviewing Allison Grodner, the executive producer of Big Brother. Allison took time out of her very busy schedule to help get us fans up to speed on the coming season of Big Brother 12.
Some of the highlights of the interview are:
1) The number of house guests is likely to stay in the same range as previous years, some where around 12 to 14.
2) This year it will be more difficult than ever before. Allison commented that in order to keep the game interesting for the fans and challenging for the house guests, things will not be quite the same as previous years. Expect the unexpected, things will be less predictable.
3) The theme of the show this year will be a "Beach Theme" keeping with the idea of summer camp.
4) Allison also took the time to debunk the latest rumor that next season of Big Brother will be the last. Allison is looking for the same kind of success the show experienced last season to have it renewed again after this season and looks forward to a rosy future for Big Brother.
5) Allison truly embraces the fans. She confided that yes she does surf the different web sites to verify things and stay in contact with fan opinion.
6) One of the most interesting nuggets to come out of the interview is this season a number of house guests will have different backgrounds and personalities than we have ever seen before.
All in all I believe Allison gave us all she could in respect to information for the coming season. For the avid Big Brother fan there should be enough to keep your mind whirling all the way to Big Brother 12.

Great interview! I am already liking the beach theme for the house. Easy on the eyes and a reminder that summer is right outside. I like that she is changing up personalities a bit, and looking forward to some new and unexpected twists and turns. Thanks Al!

I'm so excited! Hope all the cast are strangers to each other, no crazy pairings, and that we see an interesting group of people who are there to win! Thanks for the great interview, TVGrapevine is always on top of things with all the shows!

Love hearing from Allison - it means Big Brother is finally on the horizon!! Beach theme/Summer Camp sounds like a whole lot of fun. Can't wait for all the twists, turns, new personalities and the head games that ensue! Thanks for the great interview Al and Allison - now bring it on!

As annoyed as I get by the producers during the season, she is always an intelligent and apparently forthright interviewee. She's great at talking to the press like this. If she could do more interviews during the season, I'd be a lot calmer. And if she could keep the Fish to a minimum (we're fans! we're going to watch the CBS show anyway!), I could like her this much all the time.

We can only hope written by Marg,

this season is better then the last ones, especially in regards to the feeds. Wish our BB was more like the Aussie one where BB actually plays a big role,HG aren't laying around sunbathing or sleeping all day and stay up all night. Been a follower since the beginning, along with many others, but have to say we have lost at least half our group due to the dullness of the feeds and the show. Why they don't at least let us watch comps is beyond me. Those who watch the feeds certainly watch the show!! Come on, give these people something to do this year!!!!

Agree with Marge. Us dye hard fans want more from the feeds. Trust us, we will always watch the shows on tv to see how it is played out. But please let the BB do away with the fish and give us more up time. The lazy bones have to be gone this year and the black out a minimum. I am so excited it is almost here. Loved the interview. Can't wait!!!

I heard that this season was going to be the last..I am hoping that is not true! If there is an open call next season near me, I AM THERE!! I have been watching since season 1 day 1, I even purchased some on dvd and I love this show! Allison is amazing and loved how calm she was in getting Chima out of the house. You rock Allison!! I just want to know why we pay for "LIVE" streams and spend most of the time cussing at them when they stay on the SAME house guest for TOO long. There was many great conversations going on in the house and all 4 feeds were on 1 person sleeping. OMG! Less fish watching please.

IF YOU PEOPLE WANT TO SALVAGE THE DAMAGE DONE TO YOUR SHOW WITH THIS RIDICULOUS GROUP AND YOUR STUPID DIAMOND POWER OF VETO(WHICH THREW KATHY UNDER THE BUS), YOU BETTER SMARTEN UP. THE ONLY THING I CAN SEE IS A CELEBRITY BIG BROTHER. THIS HAS BEEN THE WORSE SEASON I HAVE EVER SEEN AND IF YOU DON`T CHANGE ,I, AND A LOT OF OTHERS ARE OUT OF HERE. AND TAKE RACHEL WITH YOU. WHAT A FUCKIN BORE.
