Big Brother Unlocked Recap for 7/10/2026
Previously, on Big Brother 28 on CBS, Julie Chen Moonves introduced fourteen houseguests, a safety competition, three surprise guests and….dinosaurs?….in the first episode, which led to Big Brother’s self-proclaimed queen Rachel Reilly to fight a dinosaur and land into a volcano.
Confused? You won’t be at the end of this episode of Big Brother.
Everyone is confused by this turn of events and wonders what will happen next….but know they must expect the unexpected.
Who arrives through the bushes? Why, it is none other than Dee Valladares from Survivor 45 (which she won) and 50. She plans on being the first to win both Survivor and Big Brother.
Taylor Hale and Derrick Levasseur are on hand to report from the sidelines hosting and are joined by Jerry O’Connell. He is thrilled to be there and says the HOH competition is about to begin, America will be given a special power, and Intern Andy will turn the lever that will start the live feeds.
Deleted scene: Taylor the houseguest is not happy that Devens seemed to have snubbed her during their introduction. Apparently, he didn’t want to know names yet. It doesn’t matter what their names are, I guess….since maybe he thinks this is WWE circa late 1990s/early 2000s. I am confused.
Jerry, Derrick and Taylor the host talk about it and want to see how it all plays out.
Then it is an Instant Replay of Rachel falling into the volcano. The trio agree it is sad to see her go and wonder if the time machine can bring her back, so they turn back time (Cher? Is that you? As an aside, can we get her as a celebrity houseguest? Or to host a comp? She would be so incredible!), find Rachel and bring her back like this is General Hospital meets Doctor Who.
Time to talk to Rachel, who looks like she recovered well from her dinosaur attack and falling into a volcano. Then again, you can be held hostage by the mob, get shot and fight a bunch of bad guys and still manage to get a cut and color and mani-pedi somewhere along the way on a soap opera. Usually between the hostage situation and fight with the bad guys….all wearing white pants and sky-high heels.
Rachel loves the newbies and says Drew is one of her favorites. She also likes Ashley and Barrett and thinks it will be a fun cast.
Angela gives a quick life update about getting a new grandchild and how she plans on redeeming herself this season. Rachel can confirm this due to her talk with Angela in the house.
There is a montage of Dee and Devens talking about their time on Survivor and how they will use those skills on Big Brother.
Cirie Fields is going to be a correspondent this season and gives them tips on how to survive Big Brother. She tells her fellow Survivors to prepare to be in it for the long haul, know when to listen and be quiet and if you’re not invited into a room, they are probably talking about you. Also, there will be a line for the potty and most importantly, MYOB.
Derrick talks to Angela, Devens and Dee, who share their plans to use their skills to win the show. Highlights include Angela saying she will request her charcuterie board, Dee proclaiming she is in it to win it and Devens is all about chaos.
There is a montage of the trio talking to the houseguests before going into the house. La Trice plans to be America’s Mom, Mallory had nightmares before going into the house and La Trice….spanks Taylor? All righty then!
Intern Andy is in the house to interview the houseguests about….peeing on the floor? Other topics include HOH plans, alliances and lies they plan on telling.
After some fun facts are shared, we learn about the BB Time Capsule, where one houseguest will have a chance to win a power or suffer a punishment and also play a comp to see how it all plays out….and America will vote on who will play.
The trio put in their season predictions and kick off the HOH competition. Devens, Dee and Angela will play. They will build a fire puzzle held by the group without it falling and have it stay for five seconds. The one to finish first will be HOH and the loser with the least amount of fire pieces will be have-nots, along with their helpers.
As the competition kicks off, Intern Andy starts the live feeds….and Rachel, Derrick and Taylor’s versions of themselves circa their seasons show up like they plan on visiting Ebenezer Scrooge.
Will Ashley ever explain why she likes canned peas? Who will win HOH? Will Angela need to put her charcuterie board under lock and key? Will we find out why Ghosts of Derrick, Taylor and Rachel Past arrived like this is A Christmas Carol: BB Edition?
These questions, and many others, will be answered on Sunday’s episode of Big Brother!
