High Potential Recap for 3/31/2026

There is a whole montage of Morgan with her kids, a robbery and Karadec and Lucia getting lucky to the tune of Under Pressure by Queen.

None of the scenes are connected in any way, shape or form and for some reason, the robbers are wearing animal masks. Didn’t they just do this on Will Trent earlier this season?

Wagner is running shirtless and damn, he still looks finneeeeeee. He also has a puppy baby that he feeds and kisses before he even has his coffee…..swoon. It would be a lot hotter if he weren’t so jerky to everyone.

Dispatch texts him about the robbery. Wouldn’t it make more sense to call? Are robbery alerts texted now?

Wagner, Morgan and Karadec arrive to the crime scene and think it may be an inside job involving some dude named Dean.

As they investigate, Morgan sees a lot of expensive items left behind, including shoes. She shushes the guys as she continues to investigate, finding a tied up and beaten-up Dean.

Our boy Dean says the guys were wearing masks and one smelled like peppermint.

Morgan gets scolded like she is a child by another security guy. She more or less tells him to screw himself and opens the forbidden box, finding a hard drive.  She also notices the robbers stopped at some point and the heat caused issues.

Further investigation spits out the name Alpheus Hodges, the first mayor of LA, who is dead.  She realizes that they were there to make a copy and left the hard drive behind so none would be the wiser.

Mitchell Huston is the prime suspect….and dead when Wagner and Karadec go to question him. The dude was on city council and seemed like the model person. They wonder why he had a vault and wonder why he had the hard drive.

Morgan thinks Wagner is acting weird and one of her friends told her Wagner requested to be texted when major robberies happened. Please don’t let him be a dirty cop—I don’t want his dog to be sad and abandoned!

Also, for some reason, Morgan is interested in a Mother’s Day card in Mitchell’s house.

Back at the station, Morgan looks at some paperwork in Wagner’s office and they end up bonding about losing loved ones. She tells him to bring everyone up to speed.

Mayor Callo visits Selena and Karadec to look into the hard drive…but he wants to take it to his office instead of opening it at the station. Morgan gets sassy with the mayor, as does Wagner….but Callo finally relents and lets Wagner and Morgan look at it for five minutes.

Morgan impresses Callo with her mad observation skills, saying there may be an attack on the city. There is a mad dash to see who is behind it.

Selena tells Karadec Willa asked to stop being tailed, but they aren’t the ones tailing her

A guy named Colton is investigated since he was fired for speaking up while working in IT. He is also a hacker and suspect numero uno. Morgan promises to get him a deal if he talks….and he admits there is a tracker on the burner phone he used.

The cops and SWAT team go to another location to investigate, only to end up getting attacked.  Wanger hits his head and a the building goes on fire. Luckily, no one died, but there were injuries.

Morgan finds a grocery list and wonders why they went to a store further away from the hideout that was raided. Karadec tells her Wagner is still at the scene of the crime, so she goes to see him and sees him drinking and very upset over the whole situation…..especially since it brings him back to when he lost his fiancée.

She gives him some motherly, albeit tough love and takes him home.  She stays with him and plays with the dog as Wagner talks about the night he and his fiancée were shot, leading to her dying in his arms.

As she tries to get him to go to bed, he tries to kiss her. She leaves, telling him to sleep.

At home, Morgan thinks things over and realize the maze they thought was in the warehouse was actually a map that is being used for secret robberies. They get an alert about another attack and robbery. The mayor wants them off the case, but they are not willing to give up.

Wagner thinks they are after cash and is proven correct when Ludo calls to say cash machines were down when he and the kids tried to buy her flowers for Mother’s Day. The robberies are happening via cash tubes by shutting down the machines.

The gang is able trace it to a Mexican market and are attacked as they try to stop the robbery.  The robbers go down one by one, with Wagner shooting one in front of Morgan. The two of them team up to catch the final robber, leading to another shootout.

As Wagner is attacked trying to take down the robber, he flashes back to that fateful night, beating up the guy, known as John McCauley. Karadec and Morgan calm him down as John is led out in handcuffs.

When it is all over, Karadec tells Morgan she did great as Lucia runs over to hug him. As Morgan leaves, she reminds them to call their moms.

Morgan breaks down in the bathroom.

Selena talks to Karadec about Erik Hayworth, who is now dead and unable to give them their interview. She also says Nick’s dad was involved with Willa, so now Nick is under investigation.

Morgan meets Nick in the elevator….and they kiss.

At home, everyone is waiting to celebrate Mother’s Day with her family.

Season finale next week!
