Will Trent Recap for 3/31/2026

 

Will Trent on ABC opens with the aftermath of Casey killing her estranged husband, Dallas. Amanda calls Will and Faith to handle the case since she is not only romantically involved with Casey, but she also supplied the gun that killed Dallas.

 

Casey breaks down when a male cop brushes against her by accident.

 

Ormewood and Angie are at a career fair teasing each other when a kid comes up to them, saying he is having some sort of That’s So Raven vision of his neighbor Nikki being killed, complete with flags, a green circle and a unicorn.  He just sounds like that crazy dude on the Meat is Murder, but Murder is Only Murder episode of Psych.

 

The two of them humor this kid and look into it…..finding the dead body of a young girl in the trunk of a car. So, is this dude psychic, a killer confessing in a weird-ass way or a witness who needed to report the crime and freaked out.

 

Also, Angie prays to her mom in the toilet ever since she flushed her ashes there. Her deadpan way of confessing this is unintentionally hilarious.

 

Casey is being questioned by Bill, who only seems to succeed in gaslighting her and making her freak out. Amanda tries to play hero and help Casey, only to find out she is on administrative leave.

Will and Faith try to talk to Bill, but he threatens their jobs. Bill says they can investigate and get the truth, which, according to Bill, has Casey as the stalker and Dallas as the victim. He wants to know what really happened and he wants to know NOW.

 

Angie and Ormewood question Seymour the psychic dude. They want him to confess, but Joanne is there to make sure he doesn’t incriminate himself.

 

He continues to play the role of the love child of Raven Baxter and Shawn Spencer while Joanne gives him an alibi. He is told to not leave town, while Joanne pulls the whole ‘why didn’t you call me after we had a moment’ game.

 

Ormewood and Angie visit Nikki’s neighbors and question them over cookies Hal made. They knock over an elephant, which they were warned about by their least favorite psychic.

Reba and Hal tell them about Nikki’s boyfriend Lester and how they were fighting.

 

Faith and Will question a stripper named Pearl, who says Dallas talked about wanting to kill Casey during a lap dance. She doesn’t seem to care that he died.

 

Some dude who looks like he is channeling the love child of Carmen Sandiego and Neal Caffrey with his outfit tells them that Dallas owed him money and that he swore he was good for it since he was inheriting money….a cool two million from ‘his old lady.’ This gives both Dallas and Casey motive.

The dude just wants his money Dallas owes him, even if Dallas is dead.

 

Oh, and he lets them know the wings Dallas ate and didn’t pay for was his grandmama’s recipe. Will says he heard the wings are great. Now I want wings.

 

Casey and Amanda have a romantic dinner with a side of motive talk. She says she inherited the money from her late father and just found out about it the other day since it was in probate before.

 

Pete days Nikki was poisoned….and pregnant.

 

Lester is questioned with his brother Barry, who got his law degree online. by his side.  He claims that he hasn’t had sex with Nikki in months but refused to cooperate. Ormewood wonders if it’s wrong to hate a stupid person.

 

Bill talks to Amanda and her lawyer about Casey and tells her that she may be an accessory to murder.

 

Seymour has another vision about another dead body.

 

Faith and Amanda have a heart to heart about love which turns into a fight when Faith infers that Casey may be using her the way Malcolm used her. Cue Amanda storming out.  Faith then calls Will to meet her at the impound lot to search Dallas’s car.

 

As they search the car, Will admits he isn’t sleeping due to worrying about Antonio. Faith tells him about her fight with Amanda.  They find a burner phone in the car and decide to take it to the station.

 

Angie and Ormewood find another poisoned victim, barely hanging on…in the same fashion as Nikki. Just like Seymour predicted.

 

Hal got Nikki pregnant!

Video on the phone shows Casey and Dallas in a physical altercation…..and her shooting him to death.

 

Angie and Ormewood search Hal and Reba’s to discover Reba lost a baby and had trouble conceiving.  They find her on the roof about to jump and having a breakdown over not being able to have a baby.

 

Joanne gives Ormewood attitude about paperwork, while Seymour helps him plan a picnic date for Joanne.

 

Casey and Amanda have another romantic night.  Amanda looks for a phone charger while Casey is in the shower and finds….stripper glitter. It is off to the strip club for Amanda, who gets a lap dance in exchange for information on the whereabouts of Pearl. Turns out she was given $150K to become a showgirl in Vegas.

 

Casey is the bad guy after all?

 

Joanne and Ormewood have a good time at the picnic, despite wind, wine that gives her migraines and rain. He manages to get her falafels and has someone play her favorite song…and they finally kiss.

 

Faith throws away the letters from Malcolm and has Caroline shred them.  Ten bucks says Caroline keeps them just in case.

 

Will continues to make calls about Antonio’s whereabouts while Betty whines. I think Betty needs dog treats and cuddles.

 

Amanda confronts Casey, who is moving away. It turns out Casey hired Pearl to set up Dallas so she could kill him. Casey says she never used Amanda but threatens her since a lot of what happened is on her….as she walks away.
