Big Brother 28 Recap for 7/22/2026

 

On the last episode of CBS’s Big Brother 28, Devens won HOH and decided to target Rome, getting everyone not named Rome, Jason, Lyric and Melody in on the plan.

A new alliance called the Tool Shed was formed due to this new targeting plan.

 

Angela became the egg detective after being chosen—and losing—the BB Time Capsule Game.

 

Despite the plan to target Rome, Lyric, Melody and Jason are put on the block, with a huge fight breaking out as the nomination ceremony was adjourned.

 

Confused? You won’t be at the end of this episode of Big Brother 28.

 

Jason and Angela scream and call each other names, with Angela calling him out on messing with her emotions, him calling her an evil stepmother and Jason promising to bring Selina out.

Angela then tells everyone about the heart-to-heart they had and how it was all a joke, causing even more screaming, yelling and everyone wondering if this is Big Brother or an audition for The Real Housewives Meets Dynasty.

 

Mallory looks like, ‘this is so not what I signed up for this summer.’

 

Barrett comments that this is Humpty Dumpty vs. The Green Goblin in the craziest nomination ceremony in BB History.

 

Devens tries to adjourn the ceremony, but Angela and Jason keep trying to get the last word.

 

Devens says Jason told him he was lying to all the girls to get them on his side….and yet again, Jason and Angela try to get the last word like they are channeling Phil and Lil on Rugrats.

 

Drew knows that he could get in trouble if word gets out that he told Angela about Jason, so he decides to stay quiet.

 

After all this, Rome will be burning in Devens’s eyes.

 

Haley is making snarky comments, leading to Rome telling her to shut up and compares her to a side character in the game. She is like ‘huh? It’s just a little smack talk?’

 

Melody is in tears and compares herself to the kid sitting alone at lunch.

 

Lyric thinks there is no way Devens can be trusted and wonders what is going on.

 

Haley all but has her popcorn out watching Angela and Jason continue to fight. He finally apologizes, but he is more or less doing it to end things. She also apologizes, but she won’t forget this.

La Trice is in tears over Rome betraying her….and huh? What did I miss? There was so much screaming going on during the ceremony that their fight got lost in the shuffle.

Taylor comforts her and says they need to ‘lay low and let them kill each other.’

 

Dee is loving how Devens is having his game turned upside down, Jason has everyone against him and no one suspects the plans she is hatching with Devens.

 

Chuk thinks the time machine took them to WWIII. He, Haley and Kamu discuss the events in the house and wonder what is next.

 

Rome and La Trice hug it out and cry as he apologizes. He feels bad for hurting her and says he never meant for this to happen.

 

La Trice forgives him but refuses to trust him.

 

Rome and Devens talk, but Devens still plans on backdooring Rome….and says as much to Angela and Dee. The only reason he wasn’t on the block was to prevent him from playing POV as much as possible and lowering his chances at safety.

 

They all pray to the BB Gods to make this work.

 

Melody is at a loss of what to do and realizes she needs to find people to work with if she wants to stay in the game. Cue her going around the house to try and make alliances, get people on her side and trying to get into Devens’s good graces.

Lyric plans on winning to save herself. She talks to Rome about it….and he comforts her, saying he wants to date her once they are out of the house. Neither of them want to lose the other.

 

Jason plans on doing whatever it takes to win POV.

 

Time for the POV comp! In addition to Lyric, Devens, Melody and Jason, Angela and Barrett will be playing.

 

The Tool Shed/Crossovers are against Rome and his friends. Drew worries how this will all play out if Rome ends up staying.

 

Rome wants himself and Lyric to stay safe so they have more time in the house together.

 

Drew wants Melody to be taken off the block since they are allies and says as much to Dee and Devens.

 

Lyric is also planning on saving herself, princess style.

 

POV Time! The time machine takes them to the sixties. La Trice hosts it and tells them that at the sound of the guitar, they must race and find puzzle pieces to match their poster board. The first to finish will win.

 

AND THE RACE IS ON!!! Everyone runs around to get their puzzles together and in the end, Devens wins and puts his plan to get rid of Rome into action.

 

Jason is not happy and says he might have to kiss ‘an Adam Sandler wannabe ass’ to get off the block.

 

Angela is miserable with her egg detective punishment, leading to a montage of mishaps with the costume.

 

Rome and Lyric stage a breakup to make sure they both stay in the house. She even goes as far as to tell Devens to put Rome on the block….and to use the veto on her in exchange for working together later.

He wonders if this will help his game in the long run. He discusses this with his fellow alliance members and listens to their own ideas, with Drew wanting Melody off the block since it would be best for their game play. He also doesn’t believe for a minute that Lyric and Rome really broke up.

 

Now Devens isn’t sure what to do and keeps asking others what would be the best course of action.

 

The POV is used on Lyric! Rome is now on the block and the number one target.

None of the nominees are happy and vow to do whatever it takes to stay and get revenge.

 

Will anyone really believe that Rome and Lyric broke up? Who will win BB Blockbuster? Will Angela survive being egg detective? Who will be evicted tomorrow night?

 

These questions, and many others, will be answered tomorrow night on Big Brother 28!
