Legendary Musician Ozzy Osbourne Passes Away at 76
Sad news for the world of music today. Izzy Osbourne, legendary heavy metal musician and member of Black Sabbath, has died. He was 76 years old.
“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,” his family said in a statement. “He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.”
No cause of death was given as of press time.
Over the last several years, he suffered with Parkinson’s disease, pneumonia and a serious fall, which caused him to take a step back from touring at times. However, he most recently did shows both solo and with Black Sabbath.
He is responsible for hits such as War Pigs, Crazy Train, Paranoid, Dreamer and many others.
He is survived by his wife Sharon, and six children — Jessica, Louis and Elliot from his first marriage to Thelma Riley, and Aimee, Kelly and Jack from his marriage to Sharon.
TVGrapevine sends condolences to his loved ones during this difficult time.
