Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro Recap for 7/27/2026

 

We are in week three of Dancing With The Stars: The Next Pro. The remaining dancers will perform again, not waste any second on the dance floor and give  it all they got to become a pro on DWTS.

 

Robert Irwin hosts while Mark Ballas and Shirley Ballas judge.

 

Tonight’s guest judge is Britt Stewart! She demonstrates a group dance and wants the remaining dancers to recreate it using their own flair.

 

Adele seems to struggle with the pace and so many people dancing at the same time.

 

Natalie looks forward to the challenge.

 

Selena and Nina both want to be in charge, while Tristen struggles with his performance.

 

Stephani accidentally hits Natalie in the face, sending her to the hospital.

 

After three hours, the teams are judged by Mark, Britt and Shirley.

 

They do a routine to All Shook Up and it is fun and filled with a lot of tricks, albeit a bit messy.

 

Shirley thinks that Tristen was the weakest dancer, while Mark thinks it was Nina. However, they have a second chance to prove themselves in the next challenge.

 

Nina and Selena get into a bit, with Selena thinking Nina was taking over a bit and was a bit disrespectful. Nina apologizes, but also feels like she was pulling back a bit after what happened with Benji last week.

 

Natalie is still not back yet and they will all be kept posted on her condition.  For now, she is under medical supervision.

 

Tristen and Nina will be team captains.

 

Team Tristen/Paso Doble: Erik, Selena and Stephani.

Team Nina/Tango: Allen, AJ and Adele

 

During practice, Tristen and his team work well together in terms of coming up with ideas, but he seems overwhelmed with leading, making the others wanting him to step up.

 

Nina has AJ take over since this is more in his wheelhouse. He is more than happy to do so, while Allen thinks this is the perfect team.

 

Time to dance!

 

Team Paso Doble us up first and while the choreography itself is decent, there is a huge disconnect between everyone and the timing is a bit off.

Britt: She liked the beginning, but thinks there was a disconnect and that Tristen seemed lost.

Mark: Selena’s spacial awareness seemed to be lacking tonight.

Shirley: It was a bit off, but she thinks Stephani and Erik stood out the most.

 

Team Tango is next. They have a ton of energy, great technique and a lot of incredible choreography. However, there is a bit of a stumble from Allen, but he manages to recover.

 

Mark: He is impressed with the recovery and loved the dance.

Britt: She enjoyed it and compliments how they worked together.

Shirley: She loves AJ’s improvement.

 

Team Tango is safe from elimination.

 

Selena and Tristen are in the bottom two, but they are both safe since Natalie was not medically cleared to continue in the competition. She does come by and wish them all luck, getting hugs from Robert and her fellow dancers.
