Kids Baking Championship Finale Recap for 3/3/2025

-We are in the final stretch of Kids Baking Championship. Four bakers remain and only one will win it all!

-The first hour is making animal houses out of cookies.

-Micah has a chicken coop. He uses gingerbread, royal icing and chocolate ganache.

-Arielle is making a birdhouse out of cinnamon sugar cookies with white chocolate and maple syrup pastry cream.

-Carly is making a lemon lime sugar cookie house for her doghouse.

-Piper makes a barn house with vanilla almond cookies and peach coulis.

-Arielle struggles with her pastry cream. I just want to hug her. She decides to make a mascarpone cream instead.

-TWIST! They must make haystacks!

-Micah is making butterscotch haystacks! Jessie James Decker makes these too! I make mine with pretzels instead of the chow mien noodles and they are amazing.

-I love how Piper is making hers with potato chips.

-Micah is struggling and worries about finishing in time.

-Piper is using caramel to put her house together and that is such a cool idea.

-I love how everyone helps each other.

-Carly is having trouble putting her house together and crying her eyes out. I just want to hug her and be auntie to her right now.

-Carly is making a nametag for the dog she wants…Leo.

-Before long, it is time to judge the houses. Duff and Kardea give the pros and cons of each and must decide who goes to the finals.

-Arielle and Piper are the top two bakers, with Piper winning. They are in the finale!

-Micah and Carly are in the bottom two, with Carly going home.

-Hour two has the top three bakers making a zoo cake.

-Micah makes a red velvet cake for his African safari bake.

-As an aside, Kardea’s dress is FIRE!

-Piper has a monkey habitat for her bake, so she makes an ombre cake with chocolate hazelnut flavors.

-Arielle makes chocolate peanut butter cake for her forest cake.

-Piper is making popcorn crispy treats and she may now be my favorite kid ever!

-These cakes look so amazing and now I want cake….if only eggs weren’t so expensive.

-TWIST! Add popcorn!

-Arielle struggles with leveling her cake so Piper helps. These kids are more mature and nicer than most adults I know.

-These cakes look GORGEOUS!

-Micah adding the Big Dipper to his cake is so cool. He should win just for that. Piper should also win for the monkey and Arielle should win for Arielle-ing her cake….so three way tie, anyone?

-Before long, the final three cakes are judged and Duff and Kardea must choose a winner.

-MICAH IS THE WINNER!!! MAZEL TOV!!!!!!
