Not sure I'm liking the way the Finale is shaking out. We have two guys who have dominated athletically throughout the season... but they are having to plead their cases to stay. We also have two who have always been in the bottom athletically and they are guaranteed a chance at the grand prize. We all know that generally, the winner must hit the 50% weight loss or higher mark. Michael will hit that mark if he weighs in at 263 (36 more pounds). Ashley will need to hit 187 (a mere 26 more pounds). Daris will need to get to 173 pounds (24 pounds) or Koli to 200 (just 18 pounds). I have a feeling the winner will be much more than 50% this season! Remember, it has been much longer than 7 days since they went home! How sad was it that Daris, home for 30 days, actually gained 2 pounds. We all know muscle weighs more than fat, but eating before going to bed will put the weight on no matter how much exercise one does during the day. It speaks volumes of something deep inside that Daris still has to face. It is also a testament to the fact that weight loss doesn't cure all problems nor does it guarantee a new found confidence in oneself. Lots of people are angry at Koli for leaving home and going to Vegas to stay focused on winning the prize. Can't say that I would not have done the same thing put in his situation. It had to be hard for both of them knowing that Michael and Ashley have so much more weight to lose. Just realizing how close he is to that 50% had to be on his mind (even if he didn't admit it). Guess that's why I can't understand Daris losing focus and eating at night when he is so close! Over their 4-week period of being at home, they only averaged 3-5 pounds per week each - a far cry from their usual weekly weight loss. Hope each of the contestants realize these figures are closer to reality of the task of losing weight at home without someone constantly monitoring and watching. I'm really anxious to see this Finale. So many went home with huge amounts of weight left to lose. James and John immediately come to mind. Crossing my fingers that they were able to drop massive amounts of weight. I have thought of them often and clearly remember them weighing in together at a half ton. I can't wait to see how well the "older" ones have done, most having been sent home so early in the season. And, I am chomping at the bit to see Stephanie and Sam again... In case you haven't voted and need a refresher, here is what Daris and Koli had to say to America while pleading for their vote: Koli says this is a very humbling experience. He says his whole time he has stayed above the yellow line until today. He says it is hard to ask, but he begs and pleads to have that chance to let him finish and accomplish the goal of having that confetti rain down on him. Koli says if there is anything he has ever said or done that has touched you or inspired you in anyway, he would ask for your vote. He says the vote is in your hands and asks to be put in that final three. He thanks us. Daris says he gained two pounds and is not proud of that. He says he guesses Jillian is right, he sabotaged himself. He cries as he tells us he would do fine all day long, but then he would stay up and eat and he's not proud of that. Daris asks you to let him finish this and give him a second chance. He wants to prove to you that he can do this. He thanks us and again asks for a chance. To vote Daris: Call 1-866-492-6801 or go online to nbc.com or text DARIS to 33088 10 votes per email address and 10 votes per phone number per text and 3 votes per orinating phone number for toll free voting. You can still vote now through Monday, May 24 at 12:00 p.m. ET In an exciting, two-hour live finale on Tuesday, May 25 (8-10 p.m. ET), the winner of NBC's hit series "The Biggest Loser: Couples" will finally be revealed, along with the incredible transformations of all season nine contestants who have collectively lost more than one ton of weight! In the first part of the show, the third finalist – as determined by America's vote – will also be revealed. All 22 contestants from season nine will return for the finale to weigh in one last time – and show America how much weight they've lost since the beginning of their weight-loss journeys. The transformations will be profound, not just for the finalists, but also for the eliminated contestants who all continued to lose weight after returning home from "The Biggest Loser" ranch. America's choice will be revealed in the first part of the finale on May 25, and the contestant who didn't get chosen will compete with the other 18 eliminated players for an "at home" prize of $100,000. Then it's the moment viewers have been waiting for, when one of the three finalists will be named this season's "Biggest Loser" and win the coveted grand prize of $250,000! Erik has openly struggled with his weight and gained back much of what he lost, but is now back on track to get healthy again with the help of "The Biggest Loser" Resort at Fitness Ridge in Ivins, Utah.
