They will eat, sleep, train and breathe the Olympics. There will also be a double elimination---if they fall below the red line, they are automatically gone and the two below the yellow line will have to battle it out. They are joined by Alison Jones, who is known for being a skier and cycler. She talks about how she has a disability, she tried every sport possible and never let anything bring her down. She lights the torch for them and the games begin! LET THE GAMES BEGIN! The contestants are surprised with autographed flags and letters from Olympians. They also meet chefs, who show them how to eat properly—food is for fuel to keep them going. Stephanie notices some cakes, so Bob tells her to chew some gum instead. Extra gum, of course! Koli and Sam discuss John’s departure and how hard it is to see him go. They also talk about how they have to let the walls down and let things happen for themselves instead of just running away. Speedy Peterson and Julia Mancuso tell them that they will be working out together this week. They seem to make the last chance workouts look like a walk in the park! Bob sees Koli struggling and tells him he needs to begin focusing on himself instead of John and what he would have wanted. POP CHALLENGE JR Celski the speed skater also joins them. He tells them about being injured during the trials and how it only made him get up and dedicate himself to his sport even more. The pop challenge is sliding on a board back and forth. The first to do it five hundred times wins. The first three winners will get advantages in this week’s challenge. Darrell, O’Neal and Miggy need to sit out due to injuries. Sam comes in first, followed by Melissa and Sunshine. (who gets hugs and praise from her daddy O’Neal) CHALLENGE Kelly Underkolfer talks about how she grew up without an arm, but how she never let it slow her down. These stories are really inspirational. I am happy they showed them not only to the contestants, but to the viewers. The challenge is target shooting with the prize of immunity. They need to shoot each others targets and every time a person gets five shots against them, they are out. The pop challenge winners get targets, but end up assigning them to each other, which can possibly shoot them in the foot! It is a battle of the fathers with Darrell and O’Neal as the last men standing. In the end, O’Neal ends up winning. LAST CHANCE WORKOUT Rockney Brubaker leads the last chance workout boot camp class. Or so they think! After he leaves, Bob and Jillian keep pushing them to the limit. Bob gets O’Neal on a balancing ball—something he has never done before. He is in shock at what he is accomplished, and naturally Sunshine is proud of her daddy. WEIGH IN:
