Weddings, Drugs, and Steroids

Reality TV Rants and Raves heard the rumor that celebrity wedding planner David Tutera is being sued for $300K as a no-show for a wedding in Singapore.  The New York Daily News is reporting it's the Wedding Planner vs. Bridezilla now.  Celebrity party organizer David Tutera used the B word Tuesday against a woman suing him for bailing out of her lavish Singapore wedding.  "Melissa Chin was looking to turn her wedding into a PR opportunity and ... is simply a Bridezilla looking for her 15 minutes of fame," Tutera said in a statement.

Reality TV Rants and Raves - Leif GarrettReality TV Rants and Raves discovered Leif Garrett was arrested Monday morning in L.A. for possession of a controlled substance.  The former teen idol was busted at 11:20 AM at the Metrolink station in downtown Los Angeles by the L.A. County Sheriff's Department.  Garrett was taken into custody and placed behind bars. He wasn't released until the morning of Wednesday, February 3.  Garrett's been busted on the Metro Red Line before -- back in 2006, he was caught for allegedly riding without a ticket ... but heroin and Quaaludes were found in his possession. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail for the incident.  Garrett is due back in court on February 24.

TMZ is reporting that Randy Jackson (American Idol Judge) and MTV are being sued by a guy named Dwight McGhee -- who claims the two powerhouses ripped off his idea for a reality show about a dance crew ... called "International Breakerz League."  According to the lawsuit, filed last week in L.A. County Superior Court, McGhee claims he pitched his show idea -- which he calls "uncannily similar" to ABDC -- to MTV back in 2004.  Fast forward four years later: ABDC premiers on MTV ... and McGhee is pissed, claiming he and MTV struck an "implied" contract when he pitched his concept.  Now, McGhee wants Randy and MTV to pay more than $2,000,000 for his trouble.  No immediate comment from Jackson or MTV.

Crystal CoxReality TV Survivor Gabon cast member and Olympic relay team member Crystal Cox will probably lose her gold medal for her part in the 4x400 meter relay during the 2004 Athens summer Olympics after admitting to using anabolic steroids.  She’s being suspended for four years and will have results from 2001 to 2004 stripped. The AP reports that she “admitted to using anabolic steroids and agreed to the penalty Friday, the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency said,” and “almost certainly will have her gold medal stripped.”  It may also affect her teammates. USADA CEO Travis Tygart told the AP, “You’ve got to give her credit for accepting responsibility. But hopefully this sends a strong message that if you’re going to succumb to the temptation, you have to remember the terrible position you’re putting your teammates in.”   Although she ultimately placed sixth and talked to me about her athleticism before the game, she might be most notable for her poor performance in challenges, starting with the opening challenge, during which she struggled to run and climb up a steep hill.  An IOC spokesman said Monday that it is "considering setting up a disciplinary commission" to determine the fate of the women's 4X400-relay team that won the gold medal in Athens. The ruling council of the International Association of Athletics Federations also plans to tackle the issue at its meeting in March.

Steven Diagle of Big Brother 10Reality TV Rants and Raves has dicovered Big Brother 10 houseguest Steven Daigle already showed the world his stuff, and now he’s doing something with it for money: porn.  “I didn’t expect my life to take this path, but when I was presented with the opportunity, I dove in head first… literally,” Steven told TMZ, which printed a lamely safe-for-work photo of him and two other men (one of whom has been identified as Jeremy Bilding; Steven wrote on Twitter, replying to porn star Josh Griffin, “So glad you were the one that broke me in, LOL,” so he’s apparently in the movie, too).  The film—is porn worth of that word? or is it just a movie?—is called Steven Daigle XXXposed, and the box says, “from reality star to porn star.” He has apparently been working out since his last NSFW appearance, or someone really used Photoshop.   Why, why, why, Steven!?

Hollywood Gossip is reporting that Former reality TV Bachelor star Matt Grant, who starred on the show's 12th season and got engaged to Shayne Lamas for like 12 seconds, has a new show in the works.  Its name?  Pimp My Bride!  Sadly, we are serious.  "[It's] an organic follow-up to The Bachelor," the British financier said, adding that he first conceptualized the series after finishing filming The Bachelor back in 2008. "It's basically about the groom being in control of the wedding."

Reality TV - Chris JerichoHis nickname is Y2J.  Professional wrestler Chris Jericho (and fellow WWE grappler Gregory "Hurricane" Helms) were arrested at a gas station in Erlanger, Kentucky January 27th for "alcohol intoxication in a public place," according to police.  The two were taken into custody around 5 a.m., following the taping an edition of Friday Night Smackdown on Tuesday night in Cincinnati. They were released on $120 bond.  Jericho has been a WWE main eventer for years. He's also an aspiring rocker who has appeared on numerous VH1 specials. Helms is less well-known of a name, often competing on the undercard as the pretend superhero "Hurricane."  Sources say Helms actually struck a number of people, including Jericho, prior to the arrest.

Looks like Adrian Pasdar couldn't flee the Heroes set quickly enough!  The actor that played Nathan Petrelli on that critically-lambasted series was arrested in the early morning of January 27th for "failing to maintain his lane," according to police, on the 405 in Los Angeles. He was clocked driving his Ford F-150 truck at 94 mph.  Reports indicate that cops pulled Pasar over around 3 a.m. and smelled alcohol on his breath. He refused to take a breathalyzer and was eventually placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI.  The actor - who is married to Dixie Chicks singer Natalie Maines - was taken to a nearby jail. His bail was set at $15,000.

Caressa Cameron was crowned Miss America in a recent live broadcast from Vegas. She also took home a $50,000 scholarship along with the other duties and prizes associated with the crown. Unlike Carrie Prejean, when asked about her opinion on “proposition 8″, Cameron was much more versed. She basically adhered to her religious beliefs, but added that same sex marriages should not be legislated against.   Russ Limaugh, who made headlines for being selected as a judge, tarnished the ceremonies slightly when he stood up and danced to a Lady Gaga hit.  I'm hearing he was awarded "judge of the night" honors and given a Mr. New Jersey sash by fellow judge, Miss New Jersey 1995.  Rush wearing a sash... can't wrap my brain around that one without causing extreme pain!  Later all!
