Biggest Loser Couples IIIMay I Have the Envelope... by vic2rea Tonight's episode of NBC's The Biggest Loser opens with our contestants arriving after the elimination and talking with Michael about how they feel it is time for him to work harder. The contestants want him to step up and work harder or they want him to go home. Michael knows that they will be watching every move he makes this week. The Pop Quiz Alison announces that this week they will offer the ultimate challenge - immunity at this week's weigh in, and tells them that this has never been done at a pop challenge. Today's winner will receive three envelopes - each containing something that could change the outcome of the game - but they will not know the contents unless they win the challenge. The challenge is to run the presidential mile, to a board filled with 100 key cards. They will bring just one card back with them and try it on the machine. If they get a green check, they get a point - the first team to 3 points wins the challenge. Alison gives the go and Sam takes off with a huge lead. Michael is struggling. Stephanie is the first one back with a card and she gets a red "X", as do all the others, until Melissa arrives, she gets a green checkmark. Three contestants later, the Orange team gets a green checkmark, followed by the Black team. Michael powerwalks to the best of his ability, but gets an X. Pink is first with 2 points. Green then gets on the board. Stephanie is the lone person with no checkmark. After seven laps, Red, Pink, Black, White and Orange all have 2 checkmarks. Several laps later, Melissa takes a card and taunts the others by yelling we are going to have check number 3... and she's right. Red has immunity for yet another week. (Deja vu...) Alison hands her the envelopes. Envelope 1 is no access to the gym. Envelope 2 is no elimination vote. Envelope 3 is a 2 pound disadvantage. Alison tells Melissa and Lance that they have 15 minutes to talk it over and make a decision on who will receive the three envelopes. She tells them that they can give all three envelopes to one team if they want. Lance says he wishes that they could just have their immunity and not have the responsibility of the envelopes. Envelope 1 goes to John since she can't work out in the gym anyway and is limited to the pool. Envelope 2 goes to Michael because Melissa says they said things to him that they felt needed to be said because they love him and if it made him angry she doesn't want him to turn those hurt feelings it against them. Envelope 3 goes to the Green Team. Melissa begins to explain, but Miggy doesn't want to hear it and just takes the card. Miggy tells us off camera, that if she had won the challenge, she would have put all three envelopes in Melissa's hands and said "here sweetheart." Bob and Jillian arrive at the gym to a very quiet group. Lance explains that they have won immunity again and how they distributed the envelopes. Jillian does not look pleased. Miggy lets Bob and Jillian know that they are not happy about having a 2 pound disadvantage, but it is, after all, a challenge. Bob know they are not happy but wants to talk to the Red Team about last weeks weigh in. Bob takes Melissa and Lance aside and tells them they have to clear the air, and move forward from what went on at the weigh in. Bob tells Melissa that her losing nothing in two full weeks is a big red flag. Melissa tells Bob he has called her a liar two weeks in a row. She begins to cry and say that they have done nothing but question her honesty and integrity and ethics from the moment she got on the campus. She says it infuriates her. Bob tells her that it just makes no sense! Off camera, Bob tells us he is 99% sure there is game play involved, but because of the 1%, he is just going to move forward. Lance tells Bob he lost a lot of respect for him at the weigh in, but it take a pretty good man to come out and talk about it, so he got a little bit of it back. Bob says Jillian is going to have a tougher time than he did with this. Bob takes everyone outside but Lance who will be staying behind to box with Jillian... Lance arrives for his boxing and the tension is thick. Jillian asks if he is ok, he says Melissa told him to let it go. Jillian tells him she is all for manipulating the situation to stay on the ranch longer, but they should at least tell the trainers. Lance says he is upset because she called his wife a liar on national TV. Jillian says it is because Melissa is lying. Jillian says she does not want to be treated like she is stupid. Lance says Melissa would not lie to either her or Bob. He tells her he has no respect for her and refuses to work with her. Jillian says all right... such is life. Jillian goes to where Bob is working with the other contestants. She tells Bob that it looks like the Red Team will be his for the rest of the season, because she told Lance that they were lying. Bob says they will talk about it later. Jillian takes one member of each team to go box. Bob tells Melissa he wants her to go box with Jillian. Melissa asks Jillian what the problem is. Jillian tells her that she doesn't judge the decisions they make in the gameplay, but doesn't want them to treat her like she is stupid. Melissa swears on her children's lives that she is not lying. Melissa says her credibility, her integrity and her ethics are her entire life (while pounding her fist into her palm). She reiterates once again that she is not lying. Jillian refuses to believe her, but tells her she is willing to help her and will not judge her. Off camera Jillian tells us that she truly believes Melissa is lying and bets us she will lose a lot of weight this week. Back in the bedroom, Melissa tells Lance to put the book away and talk. She says Jillian is half the equation to losing weight, she doesn't like it, but they have to leave it in the courtyard and work with Jillian. Lance agrees and Melissa says she likes it when she gets what she wants. The Challenge Our contestants arrive at a dockyard to find Alison wearing a hard hat. Alison says each team has a cage attached to a rope. Their job is to lift their cage 120 feet to the top of the crane. The first to reach the top wins phone calls from home. The teams that wins will have the responsibility of assigning three other contestants a call home. Alison calls go and they begin pulling themselves up... 1/2 inch at a time! Green and Gray Teams take an early lead. Red Team catches up and are neck and neck with Gray. Green Team begins to root for the Gray Team. Melissa gives a primal scream and the Red Team begins to pull harder, but one last hard pull and Gray Team takes the prize! Melissa begins to sob as they are lowered back to the ground. Sam cries as he talks to Alison about being so happy to get to call home. She tells them the have to choose three other teams who will get the opportunity to call home. They choose the Red Team because they gave them such a fight. Melissa and Lance hug them. They then choose Miggy and Migdalia - they want Migdalia to get to talk with her husband since he is going overseas soon! Finally, they choose John (Brown Team) to call home since he has not had an support since his brother left. We get a quick visit with Shay. She is shown at the Washington Health and Fitness Expo. Shay is looking really good - I can't want to see how well she does at the finale. She lets us know that we can visit nbc.com to read her blogs and follow her on her journey! The phone calls go as expected with lots of tears. When Miggy called home, she told her fiance that she thinks she may be home sooner than expected. Migdalia tells her daughter she misses her and cries as she tells her husband she just wants to be home. He tells her to just stay above the yellow line. The Green Team seems to down, almost like they have resigned themselves to going home. Last Chance Workout Bob takes the contestants to Subway for a meal before going on their last chance workout. He takes them to the hill on the ranch and tells them to hike to the top. Bob had Daris running up the hill. Our contestants look exhausted when they reach the top only to have Bob tell them that they are now to run back down the hill. The reach the bottom and Jillian tells them it is time for START their last chance workout and she quickly puts them to work, using weights, jogging and wheelbarrows! She works extra hard with the Green Team to work off the 2 pound disadvantage. Jillian has the Gray Team pushing each other in the wheelbarrow ... up hill. She tells them they can stop because it is almost impossible to do. Gray Team proves her wrong and makes it up the hill. Way to go! The Weigh-In Time for the weigh-in. Miggy and Migdalia are naturally worried. Alison talks about the Red Team and their decisions. Melissa answers that she stands by her decisions and feels they were the right decisions. Miggy says that it has been gameplay with Melissa since day one. Off camera, Jillian tells us that she thinks peer pressure will "cure" Melissa's weight loss problem. Red Team: (Immunity) -17 pounds 3.16% Melissa 203 -11 / Lance 318 - 6 Gray Team: -26 pounds 3.78% Koli 341 -12 / Sam 320 -14 White Team: -15 pounds 3.16% Michael 456 -15 3.18% (70 pounds so far) Purple Team: -6 pounds 2.54% Stephanie 230 -6 Orange Team: -12 pounds 2.38% Cheryl 197 -6 / Daris 295 -6 Black Team: -15 pounds 2.37% Andrea 267 -5 / Darrell 351 -10 Brown Team: -10 pounds 2.29% John 427 -10 Pink Team: -11 pounds 2.10% Sherry 186 -4 / Ashley 326 -7 Green Team: -5 pounds .67 % (-3 pounds with 2 pound disadvantage) Migdalia 233 -4 / Miggy 211 -1 Melissa pipes up and says "Hey Ali, just so we are emphatically clear, 2 pounds didn't make a "bleep" tonight." Miggy tell her it would have helped. Melissa replies, "didn't matter". Migdalia replies "shut up." Melissa says "Me shut up? After all of that?" Migdalia says "Yeah you." Alison interrupts and tells them even without the 2-pound disadvantage, they would have fallen below the yellow line. Miggy tells her she could have taken that, but Melissa needed to hear that. Migdalia tells the contestants she wants to go home and there is nothing else to say. She says she has her kids and husband at home and wants to go home. Miggy and Migdalia leave the room. Melissa says they know where all the attitude and the drama that fills the house is coming from, and it is not Migdalia... The Elimination Red votes Miggy. Melissa says it is because Miggy is abrasive. Migdalia tells Melissa to look in the mirror. Orange votes Migdalia to honor her wishes. Pink votes Migdalia and tells her they know she will do well. Purple votes Migdalia. Gray votes Miggy. Brown votes Miggy. Black votes Migdalia. White Team does not get an elimination vote. Alison tells Migdalia she is not the Biggest Loser and that it is time to leave. She hugs her mother and leaves the elimination room. Migdalia says she is ready to move on. She says she hated looking at herself in the mirror before arriving at the ranch. She says she is leaving happy and proud of herself for everything she has done. She says she has learned a little bit about dealing with her issues and has opened her self... a little bit and is a work in progress. She tells us the next time we see her she will be 140 pounds and a sexy mommy. When Migdalia arrived at the ranch, she weighed 265 pounds, today she weighs 219. She tells us when she first got home, she gained about 10 pounds because of all the things going on. She says it has been hard on her and the kids because they don't get to talk to her husband very much. She says after he left, she pulled herself together and began working out again. She says she started loving herself again. Her daughter is happy that her mother is losing weight. Migdalia plans on running a marathon with her husband when he returns from Afghanistan. Keep up the good work Migdalia, we're all pulling for you. Next week: The Blue and Yellow Teams return for their weigh in to see who will be returning to the ranch. An ambulance will be called to the ranch and all we are shown is a tearful group at the elimination weigh in, with Alison telling them there will be no deliberation and opening the floor to anyone who has something to say...
