The Race' Night at the Opera

CBS' The Amazing Race continues tonight with teams traveling from Estonia to Prague in the Czech Republic. With 4 teams and 3 legs remaining, The Amazing Race 15 is gearing up for an exciting finish that will reward 1 team with the prize of $1,000,000. Read the recap here now!

As winners of the last leg of the race, Cheyne and Meghan are first to receive their clue to fly over 700 miles to Prague in the Czech Republic. Once there teams will need to locate a man in a vintage Praga - a vintage convertible car. There are only 22 minutes separating the first and last place teams.

The first flight out is at 5:25 AM to Prague via Riga, Latvia and all of the teams are on the flight. The Globetrotters and Meghan/ Cheyne spent their time at the airport on the available computers identifying what a Praga is.

Meghan/ Cheyne and the brothers are the first teams to arrive in the old city square. Meghan sees the car immediately - the brothers see the couple running and they follow. Meghan/ Cheyne receive their clue to travel to Kayaky Troja. Both teams hail a cab and head out for the next clue.

The Globetrotters are next to find the Praga and the next clue.

Brian/ Erika had heard that a bus to the subway would be the fastest way to travel from the airport to the old city center rather than taking a taxi - the bus is stuck in traffic in a tunnel. When they get out of the tunnel and the bus makes a stop, the couple gets off and gets a cab. Erika is defensive about having taken the bus.

The brothers and Meghan/ Cheyne reach the clue box at about the same time and they get their clues. Detour. Fast and Furious or Slow and Steady. In Fast and Furious a team will take a rough ride down a man-made white water course designed to train professional kayakers. As teams travel down the course they must grab one of a number of  ribbons suspended over the course - the ribbon contains the next clue. If the 2-man kayak turns over before they get their ribbon, the team must return to the start of the course and try again. In Slow and Steady, teams must pull themselves along a grueling aerial rope  course. Once both members of the team reach the end of the course, they'll receive their next clue.

The Amazing RaceThe brothers choose the kayaks while Meghan/ Cheyne choose the rope course.

Brian/ Erika reach the old city center and they are trying to figure out what the Praga is. After awhile, they realize it's the car. They receive their next clue and grab a taxi.

The Globetrotters are at the water park and they pick the rope course.

Meghan/ Cheyne discover how difficult the rope course is. Each racers weight brings the cable down so at the mid point, the racers are pulling themselves pretty sharply up hill along the cable.

The Amazing RaceFlight Time gets to the other side pretty quickly, but Big Easy's larger size makes it more difficult for him to get to the other side. Flight Time is pretty tired and Big Easy is not close to finishing the course so he takes his time climbing down the platform where the rope course ends. Meghan/ Cheyne are on the platform wanting to climb down, but there seems to be a rule that only 1 person can climb down at a time. They accuse Flight Time of deliberately going slow to hold them up. He denies it, but thinks it's a good idea so he does go slow deliberately from that point on. Meghan/ Cheyne call over the side asking for permission to climb down, but they don't receive it.

Flight Time talks to Meghan on the ground telling her that he wasn't going slow on purpose to begin with, but that once they suggested it, he realized that it would be a good strategy so he did from that point on.

Meghan/ Cheyne are first to finish the task as a team. Their ribbons say Stavovske and Divadlo. Teams must figure out that that refers to Prague's Estate Theater where they will search for their next clue.

The brothers are having a lot of trouble on the white water course - they keep overturning before getting their ribbons.

Brian/ Erika arrive at the park and decide to do the rope course. The brothers decide to switch to the rope course.

The Globetrotters finish the course. Meghan/ Cheyne are heading off to find a cab and Meghan cals fore the ball players to come along. Meghan sees a lady ahead and she asks about the meaning of the clue. The woman tells them about a train that comes along and tells them the name of the stop they will want. Meghan has her write it down. While that is happening, Cheyne sees a cab and claims it. They get in as Meghan protests that they were going to be working with the ball players. Cheyns asks her where her competitive spirit is.

The train comes along soon afterward and the ball players get on it.

Meghan/ Cheyne are first to arrive at the clue box in front of the Estate Theater where Amadeus Mozart debuted his opera, Don Giovanni.

Roadblock. Phil explains that one member of each team will search the 600 seats in the theater looking for a miniature of the mandolin that Don Giovanni plays in the opera. When the racer finds one of the tiny instruments, they must present it to Don Giovanni who will give them their next clue.

The Amazing RaceThe couple is in awe of the beauty of the theater as they take a moment to take it all in. Cheyne does the task.

Don Giovanni is in full costume and singing the whole time.

Cheyne is finding a variety of stringed instruments. As he brings them down to present to Don Giovanni, he laughs heartily and says "no".

The Globetrotters arrive at the theater and Big Easy starts looking for the miniature.

The brothers finish the rope course. Seeing no other means of transportation, the brothers set their sights on Brian and Erika's taxi. Brian realizes what's going on and tries to use the information to motivate Erika to hurry on the rope course. The taxi driver refuses to leave Brian/ Erika at first, but when the brothers offer more money, the driver agrees. Brian/ Erika are angry that the brothers would do that.

Erika finishes the course.

The brothers arrive at the theater and Dan does the task.

Erika/ Brian find someone to call a taxi for them. The person identifies the theater from the ribbon clues.

Cheyne is first to find the prize. They receive their clue to travel by taxi to the next pit stop - Prague Castle. The castle was built over 1200 years ago and is the largest ancient castle in the world.

Dan finds the next miniature mandolin.

The camera cuts to Erika/ Brian in a taxi and interestingly, the music changes from Mozart to Beethoven's 5th Symphony - definitely a foreshadowing of trouble ahead with the playing of the famous dark music.

Erika/ Brian arrive at the theater as the brothers are leaving. Brian comments that the brothers refused to make eye contact or apologize for having taken the couple's taxi. They think it was cowardly of them. Dan says in a voiceover that they didn't make eye contact with the couple as they were leaving. He said they had nothing on their mind but getting to the pit stop.

Erika is doing the task. She is amazed by the beauty of the theater.

The Amazing RaceCneyne/ Meghan arrive at the pit stop and Phil checks them in as Team # 1. As winners of this leg of the race, the couple receives a trip for 2 to Lanai in Hawaii.

The Globetrotters are next to find the instrument and receive their clue to the pit stop.

The brothers and the Globetrotters seem to be looking for Phil within the castle. The brothers find Phil first and they are checked in as Team # 2. While they are talking with Phil, the Globetrotters arrive as Team # 3. The 2 teams are cordial to each other - there seems to simply be a competitive spirit between the teams at tis point.

The Amazing RaceErika finally finds a miniature mandolin and they head out to the pit stop. They find Phil who tells them they are the last team to arrive. He asks them if they've had a good time while on the race and they say yes. They say that they've had an angel on almost every leg of the race. Phil tells them they have 1 more angel because this is a non-elimination leg. He warns them that they will have a harder time in the next leg because they will have to complete a speed bump, but they are not out of the running to land a spot as 1 of the final 3 teams that will compete for the $1,000,000 prize in the final leg of the race.

Next week on The Amazing Race, teams continue in the Czech Republic as a night in Prague brings out the dark side of some of the teams when they answer phone calls and a man mysteriously says only letters of the alphabet. Dan/ Sam continue to not work cooperatively together and Erika reaches the breaking point when glasses on a tray she is carrying fall to the ground and break causing her to tell Brian that she is not willing to do what it takes to complete the task.
