Tuesday's, The Biggest Loser Second Chance, should have been called "Broken Record, Broken Hearts". My heart was certainly broken Tuesday night, but not by listening to Abby talk about the loss of her family. Not by Shay's heart-wrenching admission that she wasn't able to get her mother to love her. No, what broke my heart is that Abby pulled a Coach Mo and asked to go home. I know she had a soft spot for Daniel (didn't we all) but to leave so he could stay - she just can't seem to stop giving - must be the teacher in her! I have to say, she has been one of the most caring contestants to ever grace the show. Gonna miss her beautiful smile, and can't wait to see her on the finale! }Anyway, Abby's story left Jillian looking shaken, and for a moment we got a brief glimpse of a more caring side of her. Speaking of her caring side, Jillian has the ability to make them talk about what is hurting and their deepest emotions, knowing that talking about it is part of the healing process. Maybe Jillian can dig a little deeper and find out what is really going on with Daniel. I know that there is always a plateau while losing weight, but what happened this past week. Glad to see that Amanda came to her senses and apologized for walking out on Jillian. Loved it that Jillian threw it back to her saying she only walked out on herself. Sometimes the truth hurts, but it's also a big part of healing. Sounds like it will be an exciting week as the contestants head to Washington D.C. for an adventure that will take them from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial to the White House kitchen garden. And their first challenge is a big one - to race around the National Mall and try and bring as many people as possible back to the Washington monument for a public workout with trainers Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels, for the biggest workout in Biggest Loser history! While in D.C., the trainers and contestants also meet with some of our elected officials to talk about the need for better health and nutrition education, especially in schools. Then the players engage in a wild four-part competition involving iconic DC landmarks before an unforgettable visit to the White House, where they pick vegetables from the White House kitchen garden and then head inside to the kitchen to prepare a healthy and delicious salad. The weigh-in will be held by the steps of the Lincoln Memorial and another contestant will be sent home And, as usual, saving the best news for last... after they arrive in the nation's capitol, the players learn from host Alison Sweeney that they'll now be competing as individuals rather than by teams! Hope you'll join us for Biggest Loser: Second Chance on Tuesday, 8/7c on NBC, to see if your favorite makes it through another week. See you then!

I just want to say that most of the contestants on this season have pulled at my heartstrings. However, the outburst from the Grandma on the show really broke my heart this week. When the black team had to eliminate a team mate, her comment was cold and I felt it was out of character for her. Just because they didn't send Daniel home, she made a snide comment that to me was just ugly. It broke my heart because when she started on the show she seemed to have such a big heart with kindness that was true. She seems to have hardened herself during this game of life changing events and its very unbecoming. I hope she realizes how she is coming off to people who are watching the show and reverts back to the kind person we all saw in the beginning. Best of luck to you all!
