Jon & Kate Plus 8
Jon has seen the light!

Apparently Jon Gosselin has seen the light or perhaps his diminishing bank account.  Jon has issued and apology for his recent behavior.

"I am well aware that my behavior over the past few months has not always reflected my personal and religious values.

"I further accept that I have allowed myself to become somewhat severed from my own moral anchor and be carried away by the challenges of fame. It is for this reason that I have endeavored of late to reconnect with my deeper, more spiritual, more altruistic self with regular study sessions and counseling."

"I have always endeavored to be a loving father and a devoted parent who serves as a moral exemplar to his eight children…My father was my inspiration and moral compass. I intend to serve the same role for my own children by taking responsibility for my errors and making right any pain I have caused to those I love."

"I wish for the public to know my regret at having, at times, betrayed the moral principles that have always guided me. This forum will also allow me to illustrate the further steps I am determined to take to regain the trust and confidence of loved ones as well as the public who have watched me over the years, together with Kate, raise our eight beautiful children."

"I could tell you that these steps are absolutely sincere and not intended for public consumption. But I know that ultimately I will be judged not by my words but my actions."

"It is my sincere desire to use the fame I have so unexpectedly acquired to highlight mature, responsible behavior as well as the joys of fatherhood and family. I ask the public to please understand the challenges I face in living under constant public scrutiny, even as I am aware that I have at times courted that scrutiny.

"I am committed to making things right with Kate and especially my children. I ask you to please give me the opportunity to prove myself."

Is it possible that all of this Jon and Kate stuff has been nothing more than a season long sham?  It sure is beginning to smell like it.  Don't get me wrong, if this is the beginng of getting Jon and Kate back together I am all for it.  I am just wondering if all of us haven't been sucked in.

What if Jon and Kate get back together will they ever be able to convince all of their fans that their break up wasn't just a public relations scam to keep every one's eyes on their show "Jon & Kate Plus 8"?  Think about it, TLC says to them, what are we going to do to keep interest in your show?  Another season of the same old, same old might not be good for the show.

I suppose now we fans must tune into Kate Gosselin's special on Monday night to see if she responds to Jon's  epiphany.

Early on I thought it could be a publicity stunt but there is no way Kate would go along with Jon's charades, especially the part that includes Hailey.

I don't think it's a sham. There are many other ways to boost ratings... and cheaper, too.
Divorce brings out the worst and best in people. Jon displayed the worst, but he's coming around.
I never lost faith in Jon, because all through the show, he was a good, loving dad, who understood that his kids needed to be kids. I don't feel he was lazy at all... he just had different priorities. Kate's priority was order and cleanliness. Jon's priority was the kids being kids.
Both Kate and Jon were/are good parents... they were just opposite sides of the coin.
If they reunite, that would be great, but they need alot of understanding towards each other's differences.

People! Listen up! Hailey interview is just laying the ground work for her defense of her involvement in Jon's theft of the arbitrator controlled bank account. She's just now realizing that she will be held legally accountable in the whole divorce mess.... She and Jon are just trying to stay out of jail...

You can't be further from the truth. No way will she be held accountable for the monies Jon took. Whatever she benefited from the money is considered a gift in the court of law.
Also, no way can Jon go to jail for taking the money. Divorce is a civil matter, not criminal, and since that money is half his, he cannot steal from himself.
He might have sanctions (a money fine) thrown at him from the Judge for violating a court order, but that is all.

Okay -- Jon knows he's done wrong. Now, my question is when did this realization come to him? Was it before he had to give the money back? Was it before he learned he wouldn't be able to sale his reality show? Jon is just trying to save face and make sure the public will side with him. It's always good to have the public on your side in a divorse.
I don't think this is a scheme to build viewers. For starters TLC was going to change the name to Kate Plus Eight. He stopped that too!

I feel Jon initially was acting in anger, which is typical in divorce situations, and he call a halt to filming the children because TLC was screwing him. Fire with Fire.
But, I also feel that Jon is reflecting, and is seeing the damage he is doing to himself and everyone concerned, and through his counseling, he's realized he needs to change his way of thinking and acting.
Money grabbing is typical in divorce by both parties, but it all comes out in the wash at the end.
Jon and Kate aren't doing anything different than any other divorcing couple. They're just in the limelight.
Bottom line, I don't feel Jon will ever let his kids go without. It's too obvious by the way he has shown what a loving dad he is.

As far as Hailey goes.... too soon, too soon. Any woman who gets involved with a man (or man with a woman) before a divorce is final and the healing process is over is asking for alot of grief.

OMG!!! This guy my my backside hurt. I pray you don't actually believe that he is sorry for being a male whore! He is the sham a sham of a man, husband, and father. This is just a sorry arsed attempt to get back into our good graces and maybe get a few more coins in his pocket to spend on hair plugs, motorcycles, drinks, and home wrecking bimbos! I want him to drop off the face of the earth and never be seen again. He stinks of rotten and I know one day his daughters will look at him and laugh in his face and his sons inform him that they wish to be nothing like him. I am really tired of his over weight butt and over inflated self importance. I hope the best for the children and I honestly believe that him and their mother together is not what is best for them. Wake up America he is a POS that is trying to get you beg TLC to bring back Jon and Kate plus 8 and not go ahead with Kate plus 8 minus Jon the playboy absent father. Grrrr I can't stand to think of him any more. So my two cents is thrown into the air and I really hope it falls on his or his air headed girlfriend and cause serious damage.

My, my! Yes, I do believe he has misgivings. If you have ever seen people go through divorce, they act in manners untypical of their true nature because they are HURTING. Jon's dating too quickly is typical of someone who has been hurt.

Yeh, there is no way that he wrote that article, I thought that by the second line.
All of a sudden he woke up and realized what he's been doing is wrong? Not a chance, people can pretty much self destruct over night but they can't kiss it and make it all better by morning. It's like people finding Jesus overnight imo, hogwash.

And Dee Dee, Mom would have tied this guys limbs together long ago.

We should have compassion for Jon and I hope both of them are to make up and be happy that they both have 8 lovely children. I hope TLC and Jon will make up too, so that the show can go on. I love watching them for Jon and Kate Plus 8 is the best of all TLC's shows.
Kate Plus 8 is too lopsided, she needs Jon to be on the show.

This is what Kate was waiting for...

Kate said it over and over, "I keep hoping and waiting for him to come home and be himself or the Jon I knew, or aliens took my husband". Let's see: Jon is emotionally abused for 10 years, stands up to Kate, Kate won't back down, files for divorce because she wants to call the shots. In the meantime, Jon quits his job so Kate can write books called "Multiple Blessings" and the authors are...Jon Gosselin, he's jealous Kate won't take him on book tours but insists he watches the kids so she can get all the glory. Jon is hurt Kate files for divorce because after weeks of watchings the kids, he wants a beer and has the gall to walk out the door. Power struggle ensues. Jon gets depressed, finds comfort in a woman who won't disrespect him in front ofthe world. Kate goes on interviews to gain pity party, cries...Kate won't let her husband go with her on book tours - after all Jon is her husband and should protect her not a bodyguard. They focus on themselves and the divorce and their children suffer. I don't like how money and fame turns this couple into media whores. Enough. Thank you Jon for stepping in to stop Kate from taping the divorce and the embarrassment the children endure at school. So, watch Table for 12 or 18 kids and counting. We don't need to watch an ugly divorce unfold on TV. It's a private matter not a media ratings ploy. Why on earth would anyone want to glorify Kate plus 8?
