The Biggest LoserThe Biggest Loser, Second Chance
Another Record Breaks

Tonight's episode of NBC's The Biggest Loser, Second Chance, opens as the Black Team returns to the house.  Rudy asks what the deciding factor was in sending Dina home.  Amanda explains that Danny had immunity and that Daniel, Shay and Abby are her support team and it came down to that.  Liz feels that they would have sent Danny home and hopes that he has immunity again next week.

The Pop Challenge
Alison greets our contestants and welcomes them to week 7, halfway through the competition.  She tells Rudy that he is 13 pounds from losing 100 pounds, and if he does it this week, the will break Dane's record of 100 pounds in 8 weeks.  She then announces that this week they will go head-to-head against someone from the opposite team.  They will face off at the weigh-in and each person that wins will be awarded a point for their team, the team with the most points, wins and the losing team will send somone home.   Whoever wins the Pop Challenge gets to choose.

The challenge is to go under a bar, touch the team color, return to the other side and touch the team color.  The first team to 500 points wins the pop challenge.  Only one player can compete at a time, they can switch players anytime they want, but each player can only play once.  Up first for Black is Abby and Tracey first up for Blue.  After 20 touches, Abby stops and Shay goes in.   Tracey says she won't stop till she gets to 100.  Shay is first to reach 100 and trades off with Danny.  When Tracey hits 100, Allen goes in for her.  Allen is moving very quickly and passes Danny.  The Blue Team is up by 16 when Amanda takes over for Black.  Allen tags out, Liz is in.  Liz trips and Amanda begins to catch up. Liz tags out and Ruby is now in.  Amanda keeps going.  Amada tags out at 350 and Daniel takes over.  Rudy tags out, Rebecca goes in for the last 100.  Daniel continues to keep it even.  The point difference stays at 1.  Rebecca takes it to a 2 point difference, then a 4 point lead.  Daniel is beginning to slow and Rebecca take it home.  She has won for the Blue Team - they have the ultimate power this week.  Tracey kisses her on the cheek.  Daniel refuses to stop until he gets to the 500 mark.

Shay is upset because they have lost another challenge and Blue gets to pick again this week.  Alison tells te Blue team to go talk it over and make their decision.  Tracey says making the wrong decision could be fatal to the Blue Team. Rebecca says they only have to beat 3 of the 5 to win the weigh-in. They meet up with Alison in a boxing ring.

Rebecca vs Amanda
Tracey vs Abby
Allen vs Danny
Rudy vs Shay
Liz vs Daniel

Shay says they matched them up pretty evenly, but they always forget one thing - courage and heart.  Rebecca says she is going to focus.  Tracey says she is going to the gym.  Bob takes the blue team to the swimming pool.   Jillian takes her team to the gym.  Lots of trash talking by each team - motivational trash talking of course.  Jillian puts Amanda on the treadmill.  Amanda is having a touch time and Jillian pushes harder.  Amanda doesn't want to talk.  Jillian asks why she wants to hold on to failing.  Amanda says she is used to being the fat girl and not knowing how to do it.  Jillian doesn't buy it and tells her it will require courage and bravery.  Jillian tells her she has to make life happen, not wait for it to happen.  Amanda gets off the treadmill and says she can't deal with the pressure right now and begins to cry.  Jillian tells her to pull herself together, they'll do it one step at a time.  What will happen when life gets harder and life will get harder.  Amanda says it will get harder, but there won't be cameras in her face.  She storms out of the gym and Jillian mutters "why are they contestants so freakin' difficult this season..."

The Last Challenge
Our contestants arrive decked out in baseball uniforms, with the number on their jersey indicating the pounds they have lost so far this season.  Alison is, of course, waiting for their arrival.   Danny says his "73" is special, because it was the number of his football jersey the year his high school won state champions.  He says that 73 represents being a champion.  There are baseballs everywhere on the field.  There are also life-sized pictures of each contestant.  Alison announces that today the rules of the challenge will be given by Derek Jeter.  He appears on the big screen and congratulates them.  He singles Daniel out and tells him he watched him last season.  He tells the Black Team it's time to step it up because they haven't won a challenge yet.  He tells them they need to work as a team.  There are 2535 balls - one for every hit he's made in the majors.  They will have to run out, get a ball and throw it at their opponents target - when a target has been hit by 316 balls, that person is out.  Alison tells them the winner will have Curtis Stone cook lunch for their team and they will have a 2-pound advantage at the weigh-in.  It can be split one pound between two players or 2 pounds for one player.  Tracey and Abby are sitting it out.

Allen, as expected, is the first one out on the field.  He targets Amanda.  Daniel targets Allen, as does Shay.  Danny also targets Allen, and is joined by Amanda.  Rudy is targeting Daniel.   Allen is the first to be sent out.  Shay and Amanda are working to get Rebecca out.  Rebecca gets Amanda out.  Shady continues to work at getting Rebecca out.  Daniel returns with 12 balls and finishes off Rebecca.  The Black Team then focuses on Rudy.  Blue takes out Daniel.  Danny returns with an armload of baseballs.  The Blue Team starts heckling the Black Team and it only makes the Black Team work harder and stronger.  Shay throws the final ball and Rudy is out.  Shay and Danny focus on Liz.  The Blue Team members continue to heckle from the sidelines.  Shay just keeps pushing harder for her team.  Danny returns again with an armload of baseballs and takes Liz out.  The Black Team Has Won Their First Challenge!!

Alison congratulates them and tells them they have won lunch with Chef Stone and the 2-pound advantage.  Rudy says it's bad because they already picked the face-offs and now the Black Team has the advantage.  Black Team returns to the house where Chef Stone is waiting to begin grilling their lunch.  He teaches them how to make a Mediterranean Burger.  They use ground turkey with garlic and thyme, cherry tomatoes and peppers.  Then they use Portabella mushrooms as a substitute for bread (making me hungry...)

The Last Chance Workout
Jillian has a talk with Abby while she works out.  She asks Abby what it is like to lose everyone you loved.  Abby says you can't fathom it, not even in a nightmare.  She then talks about the day that the tragic events took place.   She tells us how her daughter ran after her and told her she loves her and kissed her - it was the last time she saw her.  They were hit five miles from home by a person doing 100 mph.  Jillian is stunned and asks where they go from here.  Abby says its the hardest thing she has ever done, but she is going to live, not just exist anymore.  Jillian says she doesn't think she could survive what Abby has been through but she will do everything she can to give her everything she wants.  Abby says she is going to make it and will be all she is supposed to be.  Jillian looks very emotionally shaken by her story and takes Abby's hand.  (Hard to watch, harder to type.)

Amanda is back in the gym.  She wants to talk to Jillian about her breakdown.  She apologizes for walking out on Jillian.  Jillian tells her that she didn't walk out on her, she walked out on herself.  Amanda says for the first time she is seeing changes in herself and it's scary.

Bob works out with Allen telling him to keep Danny's face in his mind.  Bob has him jump on a one foot stool, then a two footer, then brings out the three footer and he does it perfectly.  Jillian has Danny pressing weight and taunts him with Allen.   Bob works Amanda and Rebecca together.  Jillian has Shay on the ladder and she asks her what happens to the child of a heroin addict.  Shay says they are hung out to dry.  She works with Shay physically and emotionally. Shay breaks down and says she couldn't make her mother love her.  Jillian tells her she is going to forgive herself and stop blaming herself because she couldn't save her mother.  She makes her listen and tells her it was not her fault and she needs to deal with the kid in the closet - that is the person that can be saved.  Shay and Jillian then put on the gloves for a little boxing.

The Weigh-In
The contestants arrive at the gym for the weigh-in.  Alison explains that they person they are facing off with, is the only person they have to beat.  The person with the highest percentage of weight loss will win a point.  The Black Team has given Amanda the 2-pound advantage.

Rebecca      223  -9     1 point for Blue
Amanda     214  -4  2.75% (with 2 pound advantage)

Tracey      197  -5    1 point for Blue
Abby         201  -3  1.47%

Allen          262   - 8   2.96%
Danny       345   -12  3.36%  1 point for Black (Immunity)

Liz             221  -7    1 point for Blue
Daniel        272  -5  1.81%

Black Team has lost the weigh-in and someone will be going home.   Alison calls Rudy and Shay that they are going to weigh in, Rudy to see if he breaks the record, Shay for immunity.    Alison then surprises them by welcoming Dane so he can see if his record will be broken.   Dane tells us that he and 12 other former contestants will be participating tomorrow in a triathlon.

Rudy          341 -14  He has broken Dane's record.  The Blue Team chants Rudy, Rudy, Rudy...
Shay          402  -9   2.19%

Alison wishes Dane good luck in the triathlon along with the 12 other former contestants. Then the Blue Team, Jillian and Bob are dismissed. Liz is thrilled that Danny has immunity.  The Black Team sits down in the gym to discuss who is going home.  Abby tells Daniel something is wrong that he is not losing weight.  She then says she will be fine at home.  Shay and Amanda are weeping.  Shay tells us she wants Abby to stay.

The Elimination
The Black Team goes to the Elimination Room.  Abby says she hopes they honor her wishes and sends her home.

Abby votes Amanda
Shay tearfully votes Abby - saying that she loves her and she is wonderful but she is doing what she told her to do.
Amanda cries and reveals Abby
Danny votes for Daniel
Daniel says he will do as she asked him to and votes Abby.

Abby says she thought her dreams had died with her husband, but she is starting to have new dreams again.  She says she has proven to herself that she is the things she wants to be.   Abby hugs Shay, then Amanda and Daniel.  Shay and Amanda sit and cry.  Abby leaves and says she is ready to fly again!

When Abby arrived she weighed 247 pounds, she leaves weighing 201.  She was at the lowest point of her life, shattered and broken and kne something had to change.  As much as it hurts to leave, the fact that she "is" again is huge.  She says the most important thing is the light back in her eyes and she is so glad she is "coming back".

We catch up with Abby arriving home.  She is given a police escort to a homecoming party with a huge crowd!  Abby says her experience has not only been a change on the outside, but on the inside too.  Abby's parents are thrilled that she is back - emotionally and physically.

Abby has lost a total of 80 pounds and looks absolutely fantastic!  She is slim and trim and even more beautiful than she was at the ranch!  She plans to travel across the country inspiring students and teachers everywhere.  Bless you Abby!

Next Week:  The contestants are taken to Washington DC and a trip to the White House.  Tracey's decisions come back to bite her.  Hope you'll join us next week for The Biggest Loser Second Chances, Tuesday, 8/7c only on NBC.
