Hello and welcome to week six of Dancing With The Stars. This week, the couples well dance either the waltz or the jitterbug, along with the dance marathon, where each couple will be judged side by side. As they descend down the stairs, I notice Derek is back---welcome back and glad you are better! Mya and Dmitry are the first couple to dance tonight. They have the jitterbug this week and she wants to make sure she makes up for the lack of emotion last week. The plan is to float like a jitterbug and sting like a bee. The dance begins with them cleaning and then breaking out into a fun exciting dance that is a fabulous way to start the evening. Len tells them he is disappointed and wanted more. Bruno thinks her timing was incredible and it was great! Carrie Ann says it was slightly muted. Scores: 8-7-9=24 out of 30.
It looks like practicing with Shirley paid off because that was such a beautiful and moving dance. They just floated out there, it was almost like watching a dream. Bruno hates it, basically pulling the entire thing apart. Carrie Ann agrees, saying she can tell she was struggling. Len says there were some technical problems but overall he liked it. Scores: 7-7-6=20 out of 30. Tom points out Marks new haircut saying that there are sites out there where people can bid on the hair he sported last week. The next couple to dance is Mark and Lacey with the jitterbug. She hopes to make Mark shine this week so she takes him to a jitterbug club to practice and get some inspiration. The dance really does make Mark stand out with all the tricks he pulls out. He just looks like he is having a ball out there. Coupled with good technique, this was truly the best jitterbug in the shows history Carrie Ann squeals over how much she loved it despite a stumble. Len loves it as well. Bruno agrees, saying that it was great despite the stumble. Scores: 9-9-8=26 out of 30.
Len proclaims it his best dance. Bruno mentions some lost footing, but says it was good. Carrie Ann gives them an A for effort. Scores: 8-9-8=25 out of 30.
The dance is very classy and elegant. He also needs to work on the stiffness and relaxing a bit. It is all there, he just needs to calm down and realize that yes, he can dance!
Carrie Ann calls them out on a lift and some stumbles, but thinks it was charming. Len thinks it had the best footwork and thinks it was really good. Scores: 6-8-6=20 out of 30.
The dance is very cute. It may not have all the tricks like Mark’s but it has a lot of technique and her own brand of fun in it. Carrie Ann thinks she needs to stay in the happy place. Len says it was a bit flatfooted. Bruno wants her to throw away her fear and let it happen. Scores: 7-6-7=20 out of 30.
FINALLY LOUIE! He finally has a dance he seems comfortable with. I like how he jumps onto the table and rips his sleeves off. The tricks, the improvement that KISS at the end! That was amazing! Len thinks it was fantastic, but he loses it a bit. Bruno thinks he needs to work on his precision. Carrie Ann LOVES it but points out he dropped Chelsie. Scores: 7-7-7 for a 21 out of 30.
Bruno compares her to a butterfly. Carrie Ann admires her line, but sees some hesitation. Len says he didn’t like her footwork, but likes the rest of the routine—calling it the best waltz of the night. Scores: 8-9-9=26 out of 30. Donny and Kym do the last jitterbug of the night. They have fun rehearsing, but take some time out to do an event for charity. It is actually really sweet to see them at the event, they seems to both have huge hearts. The dance is very cute and reminds me a bit of their Charleston with all the fun and tricks. Carrie Ann thinks there was some strangeness in it but likes it. Len thinks it was a bit much but very entertaining. Bruno thinks Donny can really work a room. Scores: 8-8-8=24 out of 30.
Everyone begins to dance, trying to prove they belong in the competition. Elimination order and points: Final Leaderboard We get a recap of the dances and a reminder to vote before we say goodbye for the night. Tune into Dancing with the Stars Result Show tomorrow for Taylor Swift, a dance off and a double elimination. Goodnight!
