Leave it to Lamas - Lorenzo LamasLeave it to Lamas
Catching Up!
by Mysteek

The first 2 episodes of "Leave It to Lamas", the new reality tv show on E! network every Sunday night, came and went quickly. So quickly in fact we missed it.  Now that we know how good and funny "Leave it to the Lamas" is we will be keeping up.

Episode 1:

Shayne, blond bombshell daughter of Lorenzo Lamas, and former "Bachelor" show love interest, brought "Star" magazine to Lorenzo, concerned about the story regarding his wife leaving him for his son, AJ.  I guess AJ and Lorenzo have been estranged for a while.  I have no background story on what happened or why... its just assumed that we (the public) all know the Lamas family history, I guess.

AJ says he hasn't had a father for 4 years, so now this magazine situation just makes him feel bad, reminded of the situation. Their mother Michele acts erratic, complaining of menopause hot/cold flashes.  Little sister Dakota is supportive and quiet in the background.

Shayne invites dad Lorenzo to their BBQ the next day, and wonders how it will be with AJ and Lorenzo together.
Their mother tries to light the BBQ in Shayne's living room, but AJ stops her.  They made the food but neither AJ nor Lorenzo showed up.  AJ shows up late in the evening.  Shayne speaks with AJ about making an effort to make amends with his father.  She says "you need a dad", he doesn't feel he should be the one to reach out, she urges him and she cries, then they hug.

Episode 2:

Shayne and her girlfriends go to a bar.  Shayne meets a guy that she likes, gives him her number.  They kiss.  Next day he (Elia?) calls Shayne and asks her out for the next night.  Instead, Shayne invites him to come to her house for a private dinner. Seems like a bad idea to me. Maybe she didn't want to be seen in public with him?  *shrug*

That night Shane spends time with her dad, Lorenzo.  She decides she should find a new woman for her dad.  She finds a girl for him, and he is happy.  Lorenzo dates this woman the next evening, gives her a beautiful large turquoise necklace as a gift, and they seem to be getting along well.

For Shayne's dinner date the next day, she orders food from a restaurant to be delivered.  She wants it to look like she made the food.  While cleaning the house, brother AJ and her fight about taking out the trash.  Lots of drama and yelling for no reason.  Temper trantrums for the camera. *sigh*

When Elia(sp?) the date shows up, Shayne admits to him that she didn't cook the food.  She wanted to heat up the food, and she didn't even know how to work her OWN oven!  He had to help her.  They are talking, getting to know each other, when AJ shows up at the house and barges in on her date.  He and his friend move on to his room, and Shayne and Elia finish the evening off with a kiss.

So far I am not impressed with this show.  It is cliche, they are just Hollywood "kept" people, living off Lorenzo's money.  They are like pets, their job is to look good and live.  Thats it.  Reminds me a bit of Hogan's reality show.  Children of famous people living a privileged life, sheltered from the rest of the world, unaware of any other "reality" but their own.  In my opinion, these type of reality shows have seen their day, and are running on empty now.

Stay tuned for more Leave it to Lamas.

Yeah I watched the first 2 shows and can only wonder 1) why do I watch and 2) why do these people want the world to see their family troubles. Shayne and her mother are idiots. Are they that desperate for the money to air their stupidity to the world? Oy vey!!

I like the show, I'm actually an AJ fan from his soap opera job. He is impossibly immature, but Shayne especially I have to ask: did these kids attend school? I love the behind the scenes showbiz stuff so I'll keep watching.
