Hello and welcome to Dancing With The Stars week four! Tonight, the remaining eleven couples will take on four new dances—the Bolero, the Two-Step, the Lambada and the Charleston. Who will rise to the top of the leaderboard and who will fall to the bottom? Let’s find out! The couples descend down the stairs and um, what is up with Mark? Louis reminds me of Lucas in that getting to know you episode of One Tree Hill when his partner made him dress like a goth..except in a suit. Tom says lifts are allowed this week due to the nature of the dances.
Chuck and Anna T. are up first with the Two-Step. He is too cute and looks like he is having so much fun. Anna jokes that he probably made fun of country people and now the joke is on him. I love, love LOVE the lasso beginning. His footwork is a bit slow in the beginning, but he sure can do-si-do with the best of them. I think they are so cute together. Len likes the entertainment factor but reminds him that this is a dance competition and he needs to work on that. Bruno thinks he brings mayhem to the show, but it looked like a Two-Step. Carrie Ann loves that he never lets the dance beat him. Scores: 6-5-6=17 out of 30.
Melissa and Mark have the Charleston this week. She is determined to get into the twenties. He takes her to this twenties club to get into the mood and it seems to work for her. It looks like a fun place, I want to go! Awww, it is in black and white and has a silent film feel in the beginning. Ohh, he is the villain in a movie from that time! I love it so much! I think this dance really fit her—not only is her footwork and confidence improving, but she really seemed like she enjoyed it. Bruno screeches over how she gave it 110% and how fantastic it was. Carrie Ann thinks it was her dance. Len says it had energy, excitement and entertainment. Scores: 9-9-10 for a 28 out of 30. I love how excited they are—they are the cutest!
Natalie and Alec are up with the Bolero. She is having a hard time with it and there is a lot of tension between them this week. I love the song they are dancing to, Better in Time by Leona Lewis. The dance is gorgeous and very, very sexy, much like the rumba they did last week. I never did realize how similar to the rumba it is. They have good chemistry, nice lines and wonderful lyrical moves. Carrie Ann wants her to go more difficult. Len likes it but wants more romance. Bruno thinks it was beautiful but wants her to channel her inner Sharon Stone. Ummm, ok. Scores: 8-8-8 for a 24 out of 30.
The dance was fun and exciting and seems to have some of his better moves in it. I like how it is more age appropriate---considering how sexy the dance is supposed to be. Bruno wants more foreplay and to build it up---oh look, Gilles! (TIME OUT!!!! I AM TERRIFIED SINCE I SAW THIS KID GROW UP ON TV! I AM OFFICIALLY CREEPED OUT NOW!) Carrie Ann wants him to chill and stop trying so hard. Scores: 6-6-6 18 out of 30.
Mark and Lacey are the second couple to take on the Two Step. She tries to help him channel his inner countryman. He is still struggling, so his family surprises him with a visit, which helps him out a lot. The dance is good, he also seems to be gaining more confidence on the dance floor and improving technical-wise. Aww, he got love from his family!!! Bruno loves his confidence, but points out some messed up footwork. Carrie Ann says she felt the chemistry and says it was the best Two-Step so far. Len likes how he is helping Lacey with her spins and thought despite some heavy footwork it was a job well done. Scores: 8-7-7 for a 22 out of 30.
Kelly and Louis have the next Charleston of the night. She admits she loves musicals even missed out on a role in Chicago because she wasn’t able to dance. Louis wants her to believe that she is a good dancer. I love this! Cabaret! The dance perfectly fits the music and just brings out her very best dancing. She really has her confidence back. Awesome footwork, great fun and an all out good time! Carrie Ann says she is like a bird learning to fly and squeals over how much she loved it. Len says she performed it and showed a proper dance. Bruno also says how much he loved it! Scores: 8-7-7 for a 23 out of 30.
Joanna and Derek are up next with their Lambada. He jokes how he has the best job in America because he gets to be sexy with her. They go to an animal adoption event where they wash and play with dogs. It was so cute! The dance has Derek topless and Joanna kissing Len NOW I get why this is such a forbidden dance! That was hot, steamy, sexy, well executed—and I am running out of words to describe this. WOW holy crotch action! Len says he wants this an encore and likes how Derek always delivers good choreography. Bruno screams over how sexy it was. Carrie Ann jokes how she hopes all the children are in bed and Tom jokes right back about how some adults might be now too. After some crotch jokes we get some scores. Scores: 9-8-9=26 out of 30.
Donny and Kym take on the Charleston after another commercial break. He thinks it is a Donny dance but he keeps getting frustrated. Kym is very patient with him and wants him to get out of his head. The dance definitely is Donny. It is just pure fun and entertainment and I am impressed with how well he moves. He just has such incredible star quality…..I just am mesmerized watching him. Bruno thinks it shows a showman in his element. Carrie Ann likes how they stay in synch and points out a small stumble. Len thinks it was good overall. Scores: 8-8-8 for a 24 out of 30.
Michael and Anna D. have the Bolero this week and are determined to get out of the bottom two. She brings in Tony to help and he teaches Michael how to feel the dance and compares dancing to football. The dance is very beautiful and romantic, but he is still a bit too stiff. He needs to relax out there! He CAN dance, it is just that he is too nervous out there. Carrie Ann loves his romantic side, but wants more dancing in there. Len promises him a higher score tonight. Bruno can see the romance, but wants more goods. Scores:5-6-5=16 out of 30.
Louie and Chelsie have the Country Two-Step this week and since they are both learning it, it is hard. She takes him to visit her former partner Ty Murray to get a feel of the country life. It has to be one of the cutest packages ever because Louie just has so much fun with it, despite living such an opposite life. The dance was slower than the other Two-Steps and was not as exciting as his other dances, but he looks like he was having more fun than the other dancers. He also needs to relax out there. Len thinks it was just walking and wanted to see more from him. Bruno also wasn’t happy with it. Carrie Ann thinks there was too much shuffling in there. Scores: 5-5-6=16 out of 30.
Mya and Dmitry have the last dance of the night—the Lambada. They work on it together so she can learn it easier. The dance was so incredibly fun and sexy---such great footwork, well executed and quite possibly one of the best dances of the night! Bruno wants to ride it over and over. Carrie Ann thinks Mya is on fire! Len says he wants to get a bit more. Scores: 10-8-10 for a 28 out of 30. We get recaps of dances and scores before we are reminded to vote and tune in tomorrow for Shakira and some results. Goodnight America! Tune in tomnorrow night for the Dancing with the Stars results show.
