It is rather interesting to watch the fans of Jon & Kate Plus 8 react to the goings on between Jon & Kate. As a matter of fact the fan reaction is one heck of a lot more interesting than the goings on between Jon and Kate and the show Jon & Kate Plus 8.

Come on folks you got to get real. Without casting blame, give this some thought. You find out your spouse has been cheating on you with another woman. The only thing possibly worse than that is to walk in on them in the act. Oh I know now you as fans will say, "but look at how Kate treated Jon?" To that I will say, "Are you approving in immorality if given an excuse?"

Jon and Kate are just doing what normal people do when crap hits the fan in a relationship. They do and say dumb things. It becomes a power struggle between two people trying to exert their own indendence while at the same time trying to control what the other can or cannot do. Add to that lawyers that represent a legal system that is adversarial by it's very design and you get exactly what is being seen airing it self out in public.

Of course Kate is going to try to hold onto the show that has provided her family's income. To Kate it is the rational thing. Of course Jon is going to want exactly the opposite because that is exactly what happens in a divorce when lawyers are involved.

Am I saying stop watching this drama playing out? Heck no, keep watching all you want, but put away your puritanical views. Accept the fact that for 50% of Americans divorce is a real life thing that comes with huge emotional baggage. Some divorces happen cleanly but the majority of divorces are nasty affairs that take a heavy toll on all around them.

If I caught my spouse cheating calling the TODAY show to air it out would be the last thing on my mind.

People are interested because Jon and KAte keep putting it out there for the whole world to see/read/hear etc

Correction.... If you called the today show, you would get ignored. The fact that Jon and Kate are famous is the reason it is out there. Just like in the small video... you walking down the street and buying gifts, getting a call from your wife would mean nothing, with Jon or Kate they always have papparazzi following them. I suppose the should just crawl in a whole or move to mars huh?

"They are NOT typical people" Who they hell said they were typical? I said they were normal people, they were not born into money, nor royality. They were raised by parents just like yours and mine very middle class and they are behaving just like normal middle class folk.

And....as with any "dirty laundry" where kids are involved....they are the ones who suffer in the end...it's always that way because the grown-ups involved can't act like adults! Pathetic...Jon and Kate are both pathetic and until the divorce is settled, all the money coming in from the show should be equally divided into trust accounts for the kids! That would shut them both up...bet the divorce would be over quickly!
That's just my opinion of the Pathetic Parents + 8 show!
