Jon & Kate Plus 8Jon & Kate Plus 8
He Says, She Says.
The Drama Continues

I was sent this news article today from a very good friend who keeps me up to date in case I miss something. I want you all to read it and I will tell you what I think.

Jon Gosselin is calling his estranged wife's claims that he withdrew $230,000 from their bank account a "total fabrication," instead insisting he only grabbed a fraction of that. The father of eight tells The Insider he "withdrew $22,000 last Thursday" and has "the paper trail to prove it."

Jon & Kate Plus 8Kate must be "hiding money," he asserts, because they should have more than enough to pay the bills. "We have 11 bank accounts. That was just our joint account. She had a best-selling book. Where's that million dollars?"

On the 'Today' show on Monday, Kate claimed Jon has a history of taking money out of the account. "When you've left your children and their mother unable to pay for the roof over their heads, it's not acceptable,"

But Jon disputes her claims, saying he's always been prudent when it comes to their finances.

"I've never taken any money out because over 10 years, Kate handled all the banking. Over the past four years of doing the show, we accrued $2,250,000. She says in the past week I took $230,000. I have withdrawn roughly $177,000 over the course of a year, which is less than 10 percent of what we made. That's like my paycheck."

Jon and KateIn my opinion... I think its hard to believe anything either one of them is saying. This drama between Jon and Kate is getting way out of hand and the only thing I do agree about with Jon is that it is time to take the kids off the show. Kate says she does the show with the kids for all the opportunities they get and to support the family. Well LaDeeDah Kate.... Not all of us get to have all those wonderful opportunities with our own kids. I think your kids have been blessed with wonderful trips and excursions, but it is time for them to be in the real world and to keep them away from the camera and the paparazzi . The kids are showing signs of stress with their outbursts and fighting and it shouldn't be shown on TV in front of millions of people.  Yes there are times that I love watching them when they are having fun and saying silly things, but we aren't with them 24/7.  We have no idea how they are really feeling. But we do know that kids have a hard enough time when their parents are separated / divorced and for them to have to deal with it in front of the camera is not healthy.

So even though I am not a fan of Jon and Kate, I am happy at this time that Jon was able to put a halt on the show for the time being and that maybe the Judge will knock some sense into them... I believe deep down that Kate will be able to get a job or write another book and be able to support her family.... as for Jon... who knows what will happen to him. Only time will tell

Jon & Kate Plus 8 - The Drama Continues...
written by Carol L., October 06, 2009
Kate has just completely lost it! To make claims like this about Jon...did she really think there would be evidence to show otherwise?? Has she lost that much common sense?? I think it's time to stop this show and start a new show about a "happy family". Come on TLC - certainly you can find another family to make a show about. After all...Jon and Kate were unknowns - it's the kids who made them a household name!

What if there is no real paper trail? What if indeed the money is hidden? What if it wasn't Kate who hid the money? Lots of what if? It's divorce and it's an ugly word with even uglier actions and words. No wins in a divorce most times. This is just awful to watch or hear about any longer no matter who it is you choose to believe. I can say I will no longer watch the show if Jon is a part of it. This is not because I believe Kate more it is just I have decided to strongly dislike Jon. I think the man is a sleazeball playboy that needs to accept the fact that he chose to make the same decisions when it came to the show as his wife and now that he is not getting paid he decides to throw a wrench into the machine that pays his children and wife large sums of money. End of story to all that think otherwise.

As for TLC finding a new family to film I have to ask "Have you lost your mind"? This is a prime example as to why they shouldn't do just that. Why would you wish that on another family? Are there not enough television shows to keep your interests? Seriously try MTV they have loads of reality shows for you to watch lets leave little kids out of the lime light for a good long time. It's just my opinion but I felt the need to share it with you. Ü

I agree with you momthemaid.... I don't trust either one of them anymore and I think the show should be cancelled and I wouldn't wish this on any family..... I will stop blogging about them as soon as they cancell
the show and they stop being so public about their private lives.... Enough is Enough...

I'd believe Kate before I'd ever believe Jon about anything! I don't know if he took $230,000 or $170,000 from that account but whatever he took, if Kate couldn't take money out without having to put it back in then why should he be able to take whatever he wants and not have to return it. I really get tire of the Kate bashing and that's all I read, see or hear. As for the kids acting out, these kids have always acted out even before Jon started his acting out. Example: Mady, whine and cry, whine and cry all the time. So what's new? Now the little kids act out, all kids act out, not on National TV but they still act out. I don't agree with Jon in issuing a cease and dissist order to stop the show for this reason: When the man [and I use the term loosely] was a part of things he had no problem with his kids being filmed, it's only after he's been cancelled that he suddenly has a problem. All this regret about his behaviour, all this concern for his kids, all this feeling bad because Kate is having a harder time with all this than he is that's so much window dressing to make himself look better when he goes before the court.

Jon doesn't regret anything, he has no concern for his kids if he did he wouldn't be behaving the way he has for all the tabloid's to print about and he's said he dispises Kate so he obviously doesn't care a bit about how she feels.

This is how I feel about the whole thing especially when adultry is involved and Jon has committed adultry. There is no such thing as a "no fault" divorce, there's always someone at fault but making the grounds for divorce "no Fault" it makes things easier for the party who is at fault.

Oh and LauraH why don't you quit blogging about this now instead of waiting for the show to be cancelled?

I have been blogging about the show since the first season. I was a big fan of
the Gosselin Family for the first 3 years. I am now just a fan of the kids and
want only the best for them. You don't have to read my blogs if they bother you,
but I continue blogging for the people who are following this story...

You know I really don't care if you continue to blog about Jon and Kate or not, but I'm tired of the Kate bashing. It seems that most people think "poor Jon", "Kate was such a bitch" tadah, tadah, tadah. Whether this show should be cancelled or not is not up to the folks who watch it. If you don't like the show quit watching it. There is a certain lifestyle now that has to be maintained, the kids expect it and so does the public who watch it. And quite frankly so do Jon [especially Jon] and Kate. And because Kate can't support these kids by going back to Nursing and Jon certainly won't support them, what is Kate supposed to do? I'm sure this is one reason why Kate is exploring her options in doing other things that will maintain their standard of living. Don't tell me that if the oportunity arose for anyone else to earn this kind of money using their kids they would not take it. We have other families who are on TV with their children, the Duggars come to mind. The family with three sets of multiples "Table for Twelve" "Little People, Big World". All of these shows are just as good and just as well done as "Jon and Kate + 8" The difference being they don't have father's whose only concern is for himself and what he can get from it and all the sex he can get too. WooHoo! that's a bonus and when Jon found that out he went nuts over it. He's like a kid in a candy store, only he can get diseases from this kind of candy!!! My advice to Kate is to stay away [far away] from Jon.

Parents that act like Children
written by Kityre, October 08, 2009
I can't stand these two and feel very sorry for their kids. They are money grubbing jerks that make money at the health and expense of their children. And I like how Jon didn't have a problem with his kids doing the show until it looked like he would be cut out.

Kityre, I obviously have to ask why you are following the news on them if you dislike them so much?

The difference between Jon and Kate and the other shows are that the other
wives/moms don't treat their husbands like dirt. I don't watch The Duggars,
because she is like a dog breeding puppies... 18 + kids.... give me a break...
I love Little People Big World.... I think Matt and Amy's relationship is more
50/50.... of course they argue from time to time, what couple doesn't. But
you can tell they really love each other. I never felt that way with Kate. I
actually supported Kate for awhile. Some of us can only imagine what it would
be like to have twins and then sextuplets. I understand why she has to be
on top of things and very organized. I give her a lot of credit there. But I have
watched the show since the beginning and have kept up on the stories behind
the scenes... You have to ask ???? Why is it that none of the family members
wanted to come over and spend time with the kids ? I just don't think it has
to do with the money when it comes to Aunt Jodi and Uncle Kevin. I think it
had more to do with Kate being so controlling. Look, we don't live with this
family. We all hear the same crap. I am not on Team Jon or Team Kate....
I am on Team Kids and I want Mom and Dad to work things out where they
can be civil to each other and be good parents to the kids. And I don't believe
all of us would want to put our kids on TV to exploit them and make money off
of them... It's not worth it .... smilies/angry.gif

Amy doesn't treat Matt bad? What show are you watching? She's constantly putting him down in front of the kids, and she never supports him when it comes to discipline. I like to watch that show because I have a lot of respect for both Matt and Amy, not so much the kids. As for the Duggars, yes she's had a lot of kids but that's a decision they both made. He doesn't make her have another baby she wants to have more children. Your family isn't unique like these other families, unless you have several sets of multiples, 18+children or are Little People. So don't say you wouldn't put your kids on TV since you'll probably never have the opportunity to find out because TLC won't ever be knocking on your door or ringing you up on the phone.

Andrea, I will agree with one thing you said and it is that TLC won't ever be knocking on my door or ringing me up on the phone. But MTV has and did and my son and I were on one of their shows. Also I was on TV and in movies, so I do know how the entertainment business works. With that said.... I will just have to agree to disagree with you on some of your opinions. smilies/cheesy.gif
