Jon sure knows how to keep himself in front of the camera and is getting lots of attention this week. First he says he wants to put a hold on finalizing the divorce and now he is attempting to shut down production of TLC's Kate Plus 8 because he is not going to get as much air time. This year I have gone back and forth on being on Team Jon and Team Kate to being on no Team at all. These parents keep saying they are putting the kids best interest first, but I am not seeing it that way.
I seriously believe that Jon is acting out, because he knows that Kate is career oriented and no matter what happens with their marriage, she will find a way to support her kids. With that said, I think Jon is afraid that he is going to have a tougher time finding work. Kate is a very strong motivated woman and has already written books and has done many TV interviews and has appeared on The View as a cohost. She is working on getting her own talk show with Paula Dean and is obviously much more comfortable in front of the camera than Jon is. She is being shown much more respect from the entertainment industry than Jon. I think that Jon has dug himself a very deep hole and is finding it hard to crawl out of it.
His lawyer says that Jon has joint custody of his kids and is able to make decisions about their welfare. I would agree Jon cares but he is hard to believe with his girlfriend status Jon 3 girlfriends.If he cared so much for the kids why not of waited until after the divorce.Then trashing the mother of his 8 kids...Looks like Jon does not know what he is doing...

It is my opinion that Jon is doing this because he has found out that his wife can in fact live without him happily. And he has dug himself so deep in a hole, he cant figure out how to get out. With him stopping production is taking money away from his children. But I think he is just trying to hold onto what little fame he has, in order to keep the 19 year olds interested. Why else would they want a fat balding piece of crap, if it isnt money and fame.

I have been watching the show since it started and it is very sad to see this family break up. With that being said I am a little confused how Jon can make the choice to keep the film crews and TLC people away from his home but Kate was not allowed to have any say about the "babysitter" that Jon left the kids with....hummmm just makes me wonder....

Why doesn't Kate go back to being a nurse? She would have a steady income and be able to be at home with the kids, because it's all for her kids. If she was a nurse she wouldn't have to be flying around the country with the 'body guard', now that would just be too bad wouldn't it?

to the ding a ling who writes "why doesn't Kate go back to being a nurse" number 1. The hours and the pay both stink. She makes more in one week than I do all year long. I think its great they both have been getting paid to stay home and play with the kids. I just think Jon got greedy and needs more money to live in New York and party with little girls like Hailey. Jon you should be careful what you wish for. You wanted out! Don't let the door hit cha where the good lord split cha! Oh yeah test drive Hailey around your 8 kids and lets see if she doesn't start acting worse than Kate ever did.

It is apparent that Jon is mentally challenged. He can't connect 2 dots and Kate has had to carry the responsibility of this family. Given the opportunity to do this show was a blessing for Kate that she acknowledged. Her love for her children is seen from her heart. Jon has blamed the kids for his lost "twenties" & says "is it hard adjusting to his kids" after NY where he can get a lot of work done"? His behaviour/speech has put in in the worse light on "every front page" in the country. This is more harmful to the children than a few hours a week in front of a camera, doing what they normally do. Bringing to the home a pub maid to romp in the tub & bed while his children were alone sleeping & calling her a "babysitter", etc. Kate ask for no child support, and was trying to do everything possible for her children. I am glad that she has TLC to help protect the kids and herself from this fool. I think the project for Kate in 2010 did not involve the children, as they will getting on past the cute stage. Jon can't/won't work and always relied on Kate, and for some reason think that people watched to show for him, rather than his kids that he doesn't care about. He talked about his love for Haley and extended family and seems to forget his children.

Kate has stated she could stop the show, but everyone would still hound her and want to know about her family. Thus, she continues because of the opportunities and the ability it affords her to support the kids. Certainly she's not perfect and she owns up to that. People never seem to realize how stressful it can be with a husband who fails to provide adequate support to a chaotic household and who publicly degrades you. In the first TLC special I was shocked and appalled to hear how he complained about her body and her looks as a mom to HIS 8 children in comparison to the woman he dated. Not to mention his frequent and self-admitted emotional unavailability. If she snapped and yelled at him, I can understand where it came from. It's sad to see a marriage end and a family broken, but I don't think Jon was ever quite there and I think Kate gets that now.

Maybe they both need to watch 18 Kids & Counting and Table for 8 to see what family values are about. I don't condone Jon's recent actions, but I couldn't live with that witch. He tried with his kids, and she critized everything he did just because it wasn't her way. But now she's all sweet and innocent? She drove her husband away and I think she's just as greedy for the money as he is, for themselves - not the kids. They need to stop the show and teach those spoiled kids life is not all a bed of roses.

Kate can just do her filming while on family outings with the kids instead of them being at home where Jon is fighting overTLC's contract to film the family.

I would like to know if Jon and Hailey are still a couple. I saw a clip of her on Wendy Williams's show as she was leaving plastic surgeons office after a boob job. Jon was nowhere to be seen, only her parents. Does anyone have any information about them still being a couple. Jon started all this with the children when he put them on his web page. He does not have the knowledge to earn the kind of money he is making on the show. Could not buy all his boy toys if he was not on this show. Maybe that is why he is so pissed because he maybe getting a pay cut. Ha Ha

Jon really needs to grow up. He was lucky enough to have beautiful, healthy children, and a good wife, but he wanted so much more, to enjoy his youth, why didn't he stay single instead of now having to leave so many people to enjoy this "youth", translation he wants to be a player. All he has done since the show started is whine. He quit his little job to be a stay at home dad on television no less, this generous act made him very wealthy and gave him the time and money to become the present jerk that we now see. Too bad he wasn't content to thank God for the family success and go on to become a good role model for those sweet little boys. Maybe now it will be necessary for him to get a real job since he doesn't want all that television coverage that has provided him with such a luxurious life style. What a hypocrite and blaming Kate for being a grown up with goals, standards and activities for them as a family. What a waste this young man is, move on Kate and my prayers are with you that you can find a real man to help you raise these children and hopefully give you the support and love you will need as a single mother.

Is he the sole home owner or something??? He was allowed to deny his STILL wife entry to THE KIDS HOUSE as Jon and Kate have both proclaimed it is. Now he can keep TLC out of the home he has been allowing to enter for what 5 years or so?? Then what's this about him wnating to delay the divorce? I thought he was so much in love with "Hailey", much more than he ever was with Kate?? One would think if he was so much in love with her, he would want to expedite the divorce so he could be with her, I mean without being an adulterous scum bag. I think this fat, balding middle aged loser is just grabbing for straws as he sees the bacon getting taken off of his plate. He has been patying on the money his kids made, now he realizes they have more talent and ambition than he will ever have. Get a life Jon, right after your little girlfriend dumps you because you are BROKE!

OMG - just read that Jon cleaned out the bank account which was set aside for household expenses. What else could he do, he has no money of his own to continue the high life in New York. Kate likely has her own money that she earned, in her own bank account, this money he took was to look after the kids and their needs.
About delaying the divorce, how can he do a reality show about "divorced Dad's" if he is still married. It is obvious - the guy continues to contradict himself, he is frightened and he keeps digging a bigger hole for himself everytime he opens his mouth. How in the world is he going to pay support for 8 kids when his divorce is final. Who will hire him. He's nothing but a big baby. Kate will do fine on her own and I support anything she does. I hope the show continues, the kids don't look like they are suffering to me. How lucky they are to be able to do and go to all the places that they have. Jon - Your done like dinner. My word of advice - go away, keep your mouth shut, that's the best thing that you can do for yourself right now.

This is the man who claims he wants to get back with kate and work things out as a parent. This is such an insult to the american people. He has now withdrawn all the money from the joint account with him and kate and has left only $1000: How could you people be enjoying this? You must be so much more sick than jon. This is a fabricated family. Kate was PAID to have herself pumped up with fertility drugs so a SHOW could be created. Both she and Jon are media whores. The kids have been pimped out so these two low-lifes could make a profit and live the good life. EVERYTHING about them is for sale. What a sad upbringing for these children. Hope the production company will pay for the necessary therapy ALL these kids will need. THe ONLY parties who need legal representation is the kids- to protect them from their greedy parents!

I have been watching this show since the beginning. At first I believed Kate was a real witch and needed a reality check. But then I realized that Jon didn't really do anything and Kate had no choice but to run the family. Now with all this mess the kids welfare is hanging in the balance. The kids grew up with the cameras around there isn't any point in stopping it. Together Jon and Kate have 8 kids. 8 kids!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is a lot. Kate is at least trying to provide for them while Jons sits on his lazy behind soaking up the money. This needs to stop. Kate do your thing and don't let that bum stand in your way

So at this time, Jon's attorney has written a letter to TLC saying Effective immediately, No production crews are to enter Jon's family home for any reason. On Thursday Jon posted a sign outside of his house stating: Notice : no film crew or production staff from TLC is permitted on this property under penalty of trespass.
