In Control, But At What Price!

NBC' The Biggest Loser opens tonight with the contestants arriving back at the house after the weigh-in for a celebration of no elimination.  First thing the next morning, Alison greets our contestants as they arrive at the gym.  She tells them that they did an awesome job last week in working together to make sure no one went home from The Biggest Loser.  She reminds them that this is an individual game and their success comes down to their choices and every decision they make determines how much weight they lose and how far they go.  She tells them that this week they will have another decision to make that could change the entire competition. She says this is "would you rather week".  Would you rather have your trainers this week or would you rather have an advantage at this week's weigh-in.  She tells them they will still have access to the gym.  Liz wants to know if the trainers will be in the gym.  Alison tells them yes, but they will be training the other teams and will not be allowed to train whoever makes this choice - only one team will be given this advantage.

Alison has them line up beside their team colors.  Anyone wanting a 2 pound advantage only needs to step across the line.  No takers.  Alison explains that if there are no takers, the amount will increase.  Danny (Brown Team) says any advantage is a big deal.  The Pink Team discusses it and wants the advantage, as does Green Team.  They all check each other out and no one steps forward ... until Tracey (Purple Team) crosses the line.  Coach doesn't want it but Tracey explains her strategy is to take the 2 pounds and keep anyone else from getting any higher advantage.  Coach Mo is not happy.  Daniel says he would not want to tell Bob and Jillian that he traded them in for a 2-pound advantage...

Back at the house, Bob and Jillian come in and are told by Danny of the Brown Team what has happened.  Coach wants to leave, but decides he has to stay and face the music with his partner, Tracey.  Bob asks around the room if anyone took the advantage.  Coach Mo chuckles nervously aas Tracey looks like a deer in headlights... we go to commercial.  Jillian says it would be bananas for anyone to give up their trainer...  Bob says 2 pounds is useless.  Tracey fesses up.  Jillian looks at Bob.  Bob says it is like a slap in the face, our faces, that this is their purpose and they got rid of us for 2 pounds.  Bob tells everyone to go to the gym so they could talk with the purple team.  Bob says he wants to get inside Tracey's head and keep her from making hasty decisions.  Bob gives Tracey and good scolding.  Jillian tells her not to fall into the panic again, step back and think before making rash decisions.  When Tracey is alone, she says "Oh, what have I done!"

Dr. H talks to Abby about her MRI results.  She is suffering with problems in her knee, a stress fracture.  Abby understands that it was so much activity after so much inactivity.  Dr. H wants her to do all her workouts in the pool instead of land type exercise.  Abby says she feels that all she has been through in her life, the problem with her knee is nothing in comparison.  She refuses to lay down now. Abby gives Bob the results of her doctor's visit.  Bob knows it will be very hard and he has worked with injured people.  He wants to make sure she keeps her nutrition up and recommends Light Yoplait for calcium and Vitamin D.

The Temptation Challenge
Alison asks the question: Would you rather control your diet or control this game?  Alison explains that this week at the weigh-in, only one person will represent each team on the scale, and the winner of tonight's temptation gets to chose the person from each team.  She instructs them to sit down at a table with their trays.  They are separated by black curtains on either side so they can't see each other.  Alison tells them to remove the lids from the tray.  Each tray contains a bite-size cupcake...  Alison tells them that each cupcake contains 100 calories.  All they have to do is eat more cupcakes in the next 10 minutes, than anyone else and they will win the power.  No takers.  Alison comes through with a tray with chocolate and Oreo cookies - she loads up their plates.  Only four minutes have passes.  Antoine (Red Team) eats the first cupcake.  Tracey hears Bob and Jillian talking in her ear... but she eats them anyway!  She says the idea in playing a game is to win.  Antoine and Tracey are the only ones eating cupcakes.  Antoine ate 2 cupcakes - Sean is not happy.  Tracey ate 4 cupcakes and wins the challenge.  Tracey says she is shocked she won, but is feeling sick.  Daniel is worried because he feels Tracey is a lose cannon and he's not sure she will be making good decisions.  Alison informs them that Tracey will not be making her decision until the weigh-in.

Bob and Jillian find out about the temptation challenge.  Bob is hoping that no one took the challenge.  Bob says who cares about this stuff, who in the world would have done this.  Tracey puts her hand up.  She lets them know she ate four.  Jillian says it infuriates her when she wastes her time - she says she has to calm down before she even addresses her.  Bob tells them they are adults and won't treat them any other way than as adults.  Jillian scolds her because they worked out for an hour while she stayed behind to talk with her, and instead of taking the advice, she totally ignored everything they had told her.  Bob and Jillian begin to work out with the other teams.  Coach Mo watches what Bob and Jillian are telling the others to do and copies everything they are doing.  Coach says he worked hard to keep Tracey in the game and is frustrated that he doesn't get to work out with Jillian and Bob.

The Challenge
Alison is waiting as the contestants arrive for the challenge.  She tells them that today's winner will get something better than the advantage or choice at the weigh-in, they will have immunity.  Each team must get 500 pounds up the steep ramp and raises their flag.  They get a choice, two 5 pound weights (10 pounds) at a time from the base of the ramp, or 25 pounds at a time further away.  Since Abby and Tracey can't participate, Alan and Coach Mo will participate as individuals, along with Julio and will only have to carry 250 pounds to the top.  Purple team chooses 10 pounds, Brown 25, Black 25, Red 25, Orange 25, Green 10, Pink 10, Blue 10.  The competition begins.  The Orange, Green, Pink and Blue teams are up the ramp twice before the Red Team comes back with his first weight.  They realize they have to go up the ramp quiet a few more times.  The 25 pound teams realize how far it is to get to the ramp and back to the weights.   Pink and Green are neck and neck.  Alan (Green) takes a big lead and with a lot of effort and focus wins immunity.  Pink finishes second but no one gives up.  Coach Mo is alone and coming in last, but as has become the norm on Biggest Loser, they all go back as a group and walk Coach Mo to the finish line.

The Last Chance Workout
Jillian and Bob focus on the women in the house as they figure there is a good chance that Tracey will put them on the scale.  Liz worries because she has already lost 20 pounds and doesn't think she can put up those kinds of numbers again.  Amanda is confident that she and Tracey are close and she won't put her on the scale... Bob isn't buying it.  Shay was able to do 20 seconds on Jacobs Ladder when she arrived, she does 6 minutes tonight!  Jillian stays on everyone.. she explains that Bob is the good parent, she's the bad parent.  She tells Dina all about Daniel running for a full 5 minutes because she is complaining of being tired.  Daniel tells her it's the reason he was able to lose 80 pounds at home.. and he doesn't stop running while he is talking!  Bob is working with Amanda and is sounding more like Jillian than Bob, he refuses to take no for an answer from Amanda!  She completes the sprint and Bob tells her to never again say she can't do something.

Daniel talks to Tracey and she wants him to stay and tells him she will put him on the scale.  Tracey then talks with Amanda.  She asks Amanda and Rebecca how they would vote should she ever fall below the yellow line.  They don't want to commit so Tracey says they will be no guarantee during the weigh-in and good luck.

The Weigh-In
Alison explains that two teams will be below the yellow line and one team will be going home.  Tracey says she would not make the same choices again because she really doesn't need the pressure, stress and alienation.  Coach tries to take up for Tracey and Jillian tells him that he shouldn't support her crappy decisions.  She then scolds Tracey for the decisions she has made.  She tells Coach he needs to start looking out for himself because Tracey won't, she is full of s***... Done!

Alison calls on Tracey to make her decision on who will weigh in on each team.

Green     Allen        - 4  Abby      - 5  - 9 pounds  (Immunity)
Purple      Mo         -  1  Tracey     -11  -12 pounds   Tracey    5.26%

Orange    Daniel     -  6  Shay       - 6    -12 pounds   Shay      1.35%

Alison makes a note of the fact that there was no applause for Tracey's 11 pound weight loss.  Tracey's only comment is "of course not."  Alison dismisses the trainers, then tells the contestants they have one hour to make their decision.

Sean and Antoine both agree that they want to sacrifice themselves so that Shay can stay on because she needs help and they feel they have good support systems at home.  Sean says he loves them all and tells Tracey she has done some stupid stuff, but he still loves her.  He tells Shay that the simple fact is, she can't go home.

The Elimination
Black votes Red.
Green tearfully votes Red.
Pink cries as they vote Red.
Tracey makes a speech about no matter what happened two teams would still be below the yellow line.  She then votes Red.

Alison tells Antoine and Sean that they are not the biggest losers, but they have obviously taught a very valuable lesson tonight.  Antoine tells Shay she is an inspiration and she can do it.  They received tearful hugs as they leave the elimination room.

After the Show Progress Report
Antoine says he arrived and was lazy.  He says he has learned that he deserves to take care of himself.  Sean says his journey started with emotional weight and has so much more to go, but he is hopeful.

We catch up with Sean at home with the kids.  When he arrived at the Ranch, he weighed 444 pounds, he now weighs 324, and is looking really good.  As a Youth Pastor, he now promotes healthy living inside and out.   He is now able to run with his children without being out of breath.  Sean and his wife are expecting a baby girl any day now.  They plan to name her Jillian!!  Proud of you Sean!

Antoine arrived at 367 pounds.  He has lost 105 pounds and looks fantastic!  He is enrolled in a kick boxing class.  We see Alexandria get a bouquet of flowers from Antoine.  We are treated to them jogging through the park and having lots of veggies and fruit for a snack.  As we leave them, Antoine tells Alexandria he loves her, and she tells him she loves him too!  They both look fabulous.  Antoine hopes to weigh 200 by finale night.  Good luck to both of you!

Next Week on The Biggest Loser:  Shay tells Tracey she trusted what she had told her and that trust was broken.  Tracey maintains that she didn't do anything wrong.  Dr. H informs Tracey that she has a major muscle injury and he will not allow any major exercise.  Hope you'll join us next week for The Biggest Loser Second Chances, Tuesday, 8/7c only on NBC.
