O'Neal showed us all what he was made of in that very graceful exit from the Biggest Loser last week. True to his word, as he has been the entire show, he told them that Sunshine was not to get even one vote. What a dad! To have won the respect, yes, even love, of all the contestants - that's something we don't often see in a competition. As sad as it was to watch him go, I get the feeling that this could be really good for Sunshine. She's a very sweet girl, but seems to be having a hard time letting daddy go. I can relate, having been a daddy's girl myself. This will be a good time to learn that she can accomplish things on her own and still be close to her father and make him proud. We all have to do it at sometime in our lives. She is 24 years old - about the same age as I was when I made the move to be my own person, but that daddy's girl bond was never broken. I've read some remarks out there about Sunshine crying all the time, about their close father/daughter relationship and feel the need to say that if those people have never been a daddy's girl (and an only daughter in a family full of sons), they will never understand.
For a while, I thought only Koli was playing the game (since Melissa's exit), but looks like Daris is doing a good job staying under the radar yet still playing the game. How smart was that to run up the steps in lieu of using the gym to hide his exercise from the two remaining teams. Very smart move to include Ashley and Michael in his exercise program of running up 33 flights of steps! Glad to see it worked out in their favor as it kept all three of them above the yellow line. This may be a good alliance... Finally, I'm trying to figure out the family's reaction to O'Neal's weight loss. Didn't he just return from his brother's funeral? The only thing I can think may have happened is his brother lived in a different city and the other family members could not attend the funeral. Whatever, they sure reacted as if they hadn't seen him in a long time.

Later the contestants and their guests are treated to an unforgettable concert from recording artist Ashanti, who shares her inspirational music. This week’s challenge finds the players climbing Jacob’s Ladder cardio machines while suspended over a pool, with the winner getting a weigh-in related prize. And finally, two contestants fall below the yellow line at weigh-in, leading to a very emotional elimination as another contestant is sent home. Alison Sweeney hosts the series, and trainers Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels also star.

Impressive editing showing before and after clips of O'Neal. We sometimes forget just how much progress they have made. We see their weight loss in numbers and see them every week and can't visualize just how much they have lost. The one that made me sit up and take notice was the "O'Neal in the car clip". My goodness, he's lost so much he could have put another person between him and the steering wheel. I really enjoyed that.
It's finally time for the "Biggest Loser" makeover week! I am so excited to see what is beneath the mop tops of Michael and Daris! I heard a rumor that Alison walked by Michael a couple of times after his makeover and didn't recognize him. I'm hoping that Stephanie might make an appearance for Sam's makeover, but I fear it will be limited to immediate family, not new girlfriends... I can still hope. I'm sure O'Neal and his wife will be there for Sunshine's reveal. Ah, but it's all speculation - won't know, will we, until the show airs. Wanna bet this will be the week the game really starts - the Finale is getting so close, I'm sure someone will get the scent of that money just waiting to be claimed!
