Big Brother 11
No House Calls?

Gretchen Massey announced on her MySpace blog that "House Calls" had been cancelled for the Big Brother 11 season because no sponsor could be acquired.

A sign of the times!  The economy has gobbled up a fan favorite of Big Brother fans, House Calls.  House calls has been a staple part of the diet for Big Brother fan's ever since it's inception.  The host, Gretchen Massey had to balance the many personalities that have been assigned as her co-host over the years and done a remarkable job.  The last two season's with Dick Donato was certainly one of her more successful challenges and she survived it with total class.

I am sure I speak for all fans when I say, what a disappointment, I was so looking forward to seeing last year's Big Brother winner Dan Gheesling giving us his points of view on House Calls.

There are a number of rumors circulating about other sources attempting to put together a House Calls style show.  Dick Donato is rumored to be seeking a sponsor to do something on RealNet and at least 2 other groups are looking to do something that would be accessible without having to enroll in the RealNet.

The question now comes, what will RealNet charge for the Big Brother Live Feeds since they will not have "House Calls" to bolster the value of their package?  Don't hold your breath for a price decrease, it isn't likely to happen in these tough economic times.

The Big Brother 11 season just won't seem the same.  We are going to have a very pregnant Julie Chen hosting Big Brother.  We will be missing the ever popular Gretchen Massey and House Calls.  With 42 days left to the premiere of Big brother 11 be prepared for more good and bad news concerning the CBS summer time classic Big Brother.
