Final Five Idols! 

Hello America! Welcome toFox' American Idol The Results! Tonight not only brings talent from amazing artists such as David Archuleta, Harry Wayne Casey, Thelma Houston and Frieda Payne, but also forces us to say goodbye to not one, but two of our incredibly talented finalists.


After some footage of the contestants and judges talking about the experience and Paula teaching them how to dance, we get to this week's group song and dance. I think this is the one I enjoyed the most all season. She also makes a cameo in the performance. I remember trying to imitate her and Mariah Carey in grade school--I feel so old saying that, haha! Paula says how proud she is of them. 

RESULTS 1

We are shown the obligatory Ford commercial and then FINALLY get to some results. Lil is in the bottom three and automatically eliminated. She gets a standing ovation, hugs, kisses and performs one last time. Paula says she did great tonight and gave a classy exit. Randy tells her this is just the beginning. Simon says he is going to miss her screaming family. Kara thinks she will take what she learned and use it in her future career.

DISCO MANIA, SHAKE YOUR BOOTY!

We are treated to a disco medley from Frieda Payne, who not only looks fabulous but has such great stage presence and an incredible voice. Thelma Houston sings at the end of her performance and she too proves what a great performer she is. She also reminds me of the woman who plays Livia Frye on All My Children. Harry ends the medley with 'Do A Little Dance.' It is just an incredible way to end such a legendary disco performance. He is fantastic!

RESULTS 2

Kris, Adam, Danny and Matt are safe, which leaves Allison and Anoop in the bottom two. But which one will go home? We shall find out after a performance by David Archuleta!

DAVID RETURNS  

David sings his new single called 'Touch My Hand' and made me remember why I was so in love with him last season. This guy has such a powerful voice, such a commanding stage presence and is very handsome--excuse me while I fangirl squeal! (SQUEE!) OK. Awesome performance by him! He announces he is touring with Demi Lovato this year. 


RESULTS

Anoop is the one who will be saying goodbye tonight. He sings one more time before he is given hugs, kisses and goodbyes from everyone. He says he is sad, but glad to go back to Chapel Hill. 

The show ends with both Lil and Anoop getting montages of their time on the show. I must admit, it made me cry. It amazes me to see what an incredible journey it was for the both of them.
