Dancing With The Stars Recap For April 29, 2013
By Sammi-T
Hello and welcome to Dancing With The Stars on ABC. Tonight is Latin night, which means our couples will be spicing things up on the dance floor like nobody's business. I came home late tonight, so I missed the first couple of dances, (We saw them at the Applebee's we were at, but had no clue what was going on!) so I am trying to catch up the best I can. I got the scores, judges' comments and scores, but please forgive me for not having my own commentary.
Jacoby and Karina Dance: Salsa Len: He rocked the place and did a fine job. Bruno: The fiesta has begun! Carrie Ann: He has the right flavor fart…all righty then! Scores: Triple 9s for 27 out of 30.
Ingo and Kym Dance: Rumba Bruno: He lost the timing in the hips….and wishes hips could lie in their case. Carrie Ann: Good form, but the fluidity was missing. Len: Good, not great, but did not deliver. Scores: 7-8-7=22 out of 30
Kellie and Derek Dance: Samba Carrie Ann: She is perfect, but doesn't feel her when she dances. Len: Booty, bounce, how and wow…brilliant! Bruno: Perfect balance of technique and talent. Scores: 9-10-10=29 out of 30
Andy and Sharna Dance: Rumba Len: He always entertains and he loves him, but the content wasn't there. Bruno:He didn't care for it and wishes they could forget it. Carrie Ann: He touches them and knows he wants to improve, so she offers him advice on how to do so. Scores: 5-6-6=15 out of 30
Aly and Mark Dance: Salsa Commentary: Apparently something happened to Mark earlier this week which caused Henry to temporarily step in. However, Mark was able to dance tonight. They were HOT on the dance floor. She is really coming into her own with her dancing. We all know what a fabulous gymnast she is, but tonight she proved she is just as good as dancing. Bruno: He gushes over how great it was. Carrie Ann: She loves it and was waiting for this performance. Len: Sharp. fruity and refreshing like a tequila sunrise. He could not ask for more. Scores: 10-9-10=29 out of 30.
Sean and Peta Dance: Rumba Commentary: Aw, Catherine came to visit to help him out. I like how she is also trying to dance as well. I think Kelly and Alec danced to Hero by Enrique Iglesias as well. I have to say that Sean and Peta did a fantastic job tonight. The chemistry is hot and he really put the upmost effort into it. He Carrie Ann: He is the hero now and she is impressed. Len: She was hot, he was wooden and he offers advice on how to make it better. Bruno: He needs to work on some stuff, but he should be proud of himself on how he improved. Scores: 8-8-8=24 out of 30
Happy birthday Catherine.
Zandeya and Val Dance: Paso doble Commentary: She always does amazing, but for some reason I wasn't feeling her dance tonight. It was brilliant technical wise, but something was missing for me tonight. Regardless, she is one of the top dancers on the show and nobody can take that away from her. Len: He offers advice on where to improve. Bruno: She looks like an angel but dances with fury. He offers advice, but think she is a magnificent dancer. Carrie Ann: She offers advice, but loves her dancing. Scores: 9-9-9=27 out of 30.
Kelly and Derek won immunity and are safe tomorrow night.
Aly and Mark pick Andy and Sharna to dance off with….they decide to do the cha cha cha.
It is a toss up. Aly and Mark were better technically, but Andy and Sharna bring everything else to the table, which makes them stand out more. Len: He loves Andy's enthusiasm. Bruno: Both did a fantastic job, although one was better technically. Carrie Ann: She admires Andy for never giving up. Winner: Aly and Mark
Zandeya and Val choose to dance off with Jacoby and Karina, who choose the jive. It is a tough call because both of them have the right combination of technique and entertainment value. I I had to choose, Jacoby's personality really won me over more. Bruno: It was watching two champions Carrie Ann: She was impressed with both of them. Len: Both couples had their good points.
Karina wants them to share the win.
Winner: Zandeya and Val.
Sean and Peta and Ingo and Kym do a rumba dance off. Both couples seem to do well with it, although I think Ingo and Kym have better chemistry. Carrie Ann: Ingo improved more this time around. Len: I completely missed what he said… Bruno: Ingo improved, Sean was more intense. Winnder: Ingo and Kym 2-1
We have a recap of the performances and a reminder to vote.
Join us tomorrow night for Dancing With The Stars The Results! Goodnight.
