dwtsDancing With The Stars
Recap For May 6, 2013

By Sammi-T

Hello and welcome to Dancing With The Stars on ABC. Tonight, each of our dancers will perform twice, once together and once with an eliminate pro or troupe member joining them.

We are only a week away from the semi-finals so as of now it is truly anyone's game.

Zandeya and Val
Dance: Foxtrot
Commentary: They are darn near perfection…..again! I know I say it every week, but prior dance training or no, she has such talent, drive and star quality that I am in awe. She seems to be putting everything into this and it is really paying off.
Len: the longer the performance goes on, the stronger she gets! Well done!
Bruno: He loves it.
Carrie Ann: The beginning was simple, but the rest was beautiful.
Scores: 9-10-9=28 out of 30.

Sean and Peta
Dance: Tango
Commentary: It has a wedding theme…how deliciously cliche. It is actually quite fun to watch, although he seems stiff this week in terms of his footwork and posture. However, he seems determined to do well and trying to have a good time out there.
Bruno: He needs to make up his mind. He likes it, but gives him pointers on where to improve.
Carrie Ann: He needs to focus because he is backstopping.
Len: He has so much power and attack that he lost some of it….not a great dance.
Scores: 7-7-7=21 out of 30

Jacoby and Karina
Dance: Viennese Waltz
Commentary: Aww, his mommy is there! I love seeing moments like that. The dance is gorgeous, elegant and near perfect in my eyes. WOW.
Carrie Ann: Stunning.
Len: He is on his feet screaming over how much he loves it.
Bruno: He loves it and has Mama Jacoby shaking her hips too!
Scores:9-9-9=27 out of 30

I personally thought there should have been a ten or two there, but okay.

Ingo and Kym
Dance: Foxtrot
Commentary: He seems overwhelmed, which causes a fight. However, despite all the fighting, they pull off a beautiful dance that is  possibly one of his best. He really seems to flow on stage and actually looks like he is having a good time.
Len: He offers some points to improve but overall calls it a job well done.
Bruno: Great job!
Carrie Ann: This is his best posture and he should stick to this.
Scores: 8-8-8=24 out of 30

Derek and Kellie
Dance: Viennese Waltz
Commentary: Seeing her talk about her grandma breaks my heart, as does seeing all the emotion she pours into the dance. WOW. She leaves me speechless with that incredible performance. I….wow.
Bruno: He loves it.
Carrie Ann: This is what she was looking for.
Len: It was sophisticated, lovely and lyrical.
Scores:9-9-10=28 out of 30

Aly and Mark
Dance: Argentine Tango
Commentary: She says she is not used to being the harlot. She does her best to get into character but what I notice more is the choreography. Mark really plays up to her strengths and it shows how far she has come as a dancer.
Carrie Ann: Work on the lifts, but she loves the transformation.
Len: It smooth and seductive.
Bruno; She was so good at being bad and a temptress to a T.
Scores: 9-10-10=29 out of 30.

The second hour kicks off the trio dances.

Zandeya and Val
Pro added: Gleb

Dance: Salsa
Commentary: Although she is with two pros, Zandeya really shines on the floor. As a matter of fact, it is hard to tell who is the pro and who is the celebrity because it is just that good. She really seems to pick up on the choreography, but also add her own personality and spin to it.
Len: They helped make her a star.
Bruno: Dazzling and amazing.
Carrie Ann: She is Queen of the Slasa.
Scores: PERFECT SCORE! FIRST OF THE SEASON!

Sean and Peta
Pro added:
Sharna
Dance: Jazz
Commentary: I like the magician theme. The dancing really fits the theme and is actually quite entertaining.  It is very fun and makes me smile.
Bruno: He likes the girls, the theme but not Sean's dancing.
Carrie Ann: It was ambitious, but out of sync.
Len: A tank went in and a star went out?
Scores: 7-7-7=21 out of 30

Jacoby and Karina
Pro added: Cheryl
Dance:Paso Doble
Commentary: I love it! He always brings the joy and entertainment, as well as the moves and tonight he is the perfect combination of fun, excitement and full on dancer.
Carrie Ann: He has an impressive presence, but she feels sorry for Cheryl for the way she was being tossed around.
Len: He is on his feet gushing over how much he loved the dance. He became a contender tonight.
Bruno: He is untamed! He gives him some pointers, but otherwise loves it.
Scores: 8-9-8=25 out of 30

Ingo and Kym
Pro added: Lindsay
Dance: Jive
Commentary: I love how the audience is wearing 3D glasses. The movie theme is entertaining and He seems really relaxed on stage tonight. I really think he finally is coming into his own and enjoying himself.
Len: Full on, fun and he liked it.
Bruno:The kicks and flicks need to be sharper, but otherwise okay.
Carrie Ann: He bright the heart and fun Andy always brought.
Scores: 8-8-8=24 out of 30

Kellie and Derek
Pro Added: Tristan
Dance: Paso Doble
Commentary: It has a very sci-fi feel to it. It is fiery, it is passionate, it is dramatic and everything a paso should be.
Bruno: He gushes over how amazing it is.
Carrie Ann: She hugs Kellie and tells her how much she loves it while Bruno dances with Derek.
Len: Too much flash, not enough dance. it turns into a fight that could potentially turn into an episode of Jerry Springer.
Scores: 10-7-10- 27 out of 30.
Wow, there is almost a riot in the ballroom. Tom says he doesn't know Len anymore and that he needs a cookie.

Aly and Mark
Pro added: Henry
Dance: Jive
Commentary: Best dance of the night, of the season and perhaps of the history of the show. LOVE IT!  There is simply nothing else to say.
Carrie Ann: She is a bit flatfooted, but otherwise fantastic and confident.
Len: A great combination and great number.
Bruno: She grew as a performer and hopes she comes back.
Scores: 9-9-9=27 out of 30
