Another week is about in the books, that saw a hot start, then incredibly a rules change that will save both remaining veterans, and then very little the rest of the week. Quite a few people were very upset that Shelly evicted "Big Jeff" to the point the FBI has gotten involved. Here are my thoughts :

{sidebar id=2}People have threatened Shelly and her family: That's nice isn't it? It's incredible the depths people will sink to. Threatening Shelly, her husband, even her little kid. Calling her employer and demanding she gets fired. What did she do to warrant this? Well she voted against Jeff. Unbelieveable. Crap like this could be the show's undoing.

Ahhh Pandora's box: Houseguests seemed to be encouraged to blame Porche's supposed greediness for her opening Pandora's box, and that's why the game changed once again this week. OK let's review: 1) Everybody that has ever had a chance to open Pandora's box has opened it. 2) Until now, no HOH has ever been hurt by opening it, at least from a game perspective. (Brittney had to be annoyed by Jessie for half an hour or so last year, but that didn't hurt her game). So you pretty much knew that Porsche was going to open it. 3) She opens it, and although she gets a little money, the other thing that happens is there's a rules change. They are now using Pandora's Box as a way to change the rules however they please. Now in spite of 4 people working together and holding HOH, the other 2 can BOTH be safe if EITHER of them wins veto. 4) They then hold a veto competition that's almost identical to the first HOH that Rachel won. You still have to give credit to Rachel for winning of course. I just don't like the timing of this, and in my humble opinion Jordan shouldn't be safe. Looking back perhaps they had this twist planned from the get-go, I just think for something "bad" to happen to the HOH, you can put them on slop, give them solitary confinement,etc. Plenty of people are happy Jordan's safe, and the twist worked out for her, so it's great if you want that, but again I just think it's too late in the game for a twist like that. Maybe I'm in the minority, but I wouldn't have done a twist like that this late in the game.

They teased us about the jury house: Lol, go figure Danielle might not get along with Jeff and Brendon in there. Can't wait for Shelly to presumably get in there, that'll be some interesting converstions.

Odds: I need to stop focusing on what things could be or should be, and what they are. Both Rachel and Jordan can win HOH this week, because of the situation they control the votes this week, so a third person (either Adam or Shelly) has to at least agree to help them. Whether or not they do is another story. Dangerous week for Porsche as she can't play for HOH, but if she can make it through, she's sitting pretty good.

Shelly 30-1 (don't think they'll keep her)

My thinking is I believe Porsche would beat Kalia in the finals, I think Jordan would defeat Rachel, and Adam is still at this point no one's top target. I'll admit this is a lot more unpredictable than last year.

Porsche 3-1: I think she's played a perfect "under the radar" type of game. She gave the impression she wasn't capable of much, for the most part stayed on people's good side, then now that the numbers have dwindled, has started winning comps. It's a little dangerous for her this week not being able to play for HOH, but I wouldn't bet against her winning the POV.

Jordan 3-1: She's always the last person in her alliance to be targeted, which means she won't be the top target this week either. Like I say again, I'm operating under the assumption she'll get the votes against Rachel, but what if she's up against someone else? In that case she should have 3 votes(Jeff,Rachel,Brendon), would she be able to get a 4th? And also we have to think about the fact that she's won once. How would the jury feel about making her a 2-time winner?

Adam 3-1: He's gotta step up and do SOMETHING. Anything. If he doesn't then what he's counting on is getting enough votes because the jury votes AGAINST somebody and not for him. There's still time for him to make his mark, but obviously not a lot.

Rachel 6-1: Actually way better odds than I've been giving her. She has a good shot at 2nd place. I haven't seen anything that would suggest she can get 4 votes but I could be wrong. She won her first comp since week 3, can she win HOH this week?

Kalia 9-1: Maybe I underestimate her. Heck I wasn't sure she'd survive last weeks debacle with Danielle but not only did she do that but she stepped up and won HOH. Don't forget how well she does in endurance either. Between her decesion-making during her 1st HOH and the fact that she doesn't seem like she'll be popular with the jury is why I've got her here.

Shelly 30-1: Not liking her chances of making it past tonight, but at this point all it takes is one or two people flipping. ...If you remember back 5 years ago during BB all-stars when they were showing the jurors talking about who should win, a few negative comments were made about Erika and her backstabbing, lying, etc. Danielle from that season then pointed out that Mike had done those things as much as Erika, then complained that when a woman plays the game that way people find it disgusting. This brings me to Shelly who pretty much had the same gameplan as Dr.Will. Lied to everyone, was in several different alliances including new ones seemingly every week, never won a comp. Now it doesn't look as if she'll end up being nearly as sucessful as Will, but she pretty much had the same blueprint. Will of course is one of the most popular houseguests of all time (and had become very popular by the time he had reached the final 6 in BB2), and Shelly isn't popular at all. Will had a really funny sense of humor and everything, and Shelly probably laid it on a little too thick about making herself out to be this great person, but this still seems to feed the point Danielle was making at the time.

Predictions: Shelly evicted 3-0. Rachel will keep her mojo by winning HOH. I'll guess she opens Pandora's box, and she gets the right to play in the next HOH ( a little something to help her).
