Recap For Sunday, July 31, 2011

Tonight's Big Brother 13 opens with a real switch up to the house dynamics. Daniele has turned the house upside down with her power move to backdoor Jeff. She really feels that she has been shafted by Brendon and Rachel. When the dust settles and Daniele's bff Dominic is gone and Daniele is under extreme pressure to win to keep herself safe.
{sidebar id=2}Jeff does not want Daniele to win Head of Household, and Kalia feels that she will be the one to go home because nobody in the house likes her. Shelly wants to win in order to keep her alliance strong, that alliance she says in the Diary Room being Jeff, Jordan, Rachel, and Jeff. Rachel says that they have to win to keep their alliance strong.
Kalia says that it broke her heart to evict Dominic, but she couldn't give the entire house another reason to want to evict her. Rachel feels very vulnerable depending on others to keep her safe this week. Adam says that he will hold on as long as he can, but he feels pretty safe this week and he falls. Adam gets to choose a snowball and he has the honor and priviledge of wearing an elf costume for one week. Lawon falls and he was upset that he didn't win when he is off second. Lawon selects a snowball that tells him he is a Have-Not for the week. Porsche says that it will be a long night. Dani wishes a big snowball would just hit Rachel in the face when she cheers for her man. Brendon tries to hang on but he has the pressure in his chest and he drops third. Daniele was flabberghasted when Brendon fell and he chooses a snowball that gives him Have-Not for the week. Rachel says that she stayed strong for her man, but inside she was upset that he didn't hang on longer.
Shelly says that the mountain leans forward and she is holding on to the poles for dear life when her body leans forward. Jeff is hurting and says that he thinks that they are all good as long as Kalia and Daniele don't win. Daniele is happy to see them drop. Jeff chooses a snowball with ten grand in it.
Jordan and Shelly hang in there with Porsche, Daniele and Kalia. Jordan says that she couldn't lean back like some of the other girls and her arms were throbbing. Jordan falls and says that she opened her snowball to get a Have Not coupon. Shelly hangs in there as the wall leans forward. Shelly and Porsche get lots of encouragement and Kalia and Daniele encourage each other. Shelly knows she is holding the fate of her alliance on her shoulders and Rachel encourages her to hang in there. Daniele says that Shelly is struggling and Kalia says that everyone thought that she was so weak. Daniele says that Brendon and Rachel are saying their goodbyes now. Kalia asks Shelly if they got to her and she says that they just want her to see her kid. Kalia notes that the cheering indicates that she may be working with the others. When Shelly fumbles, Kalia tells her to hang in there and Daniele tells her to shut up. Eventually Shelly can hold on no longer and she falls. Up on the wall Daniele gets catty about Rachel and Brendon and when Kalia feels that she is safe she drops to give Daniele the Head of Household win. She says that she has been sitting on the sidelines for four weeks and is ready to play. Rachel says that it doesn't look good for her this week.
Daniele does the happy dance with Kalia in the storage room and tells the Diary Room that this is her house and nobody should feel safe. She is going to turn the house upside down and a few people won't be safe.
Kalia tells Rachel that she has no beef with her and sparks a fuss. Rachel goes into the Tarot Room to avoid a confrontation and is comforted by Brendon who tells her that Kalia is a nobody in their life at home. In the Diary Room Kalia says that she really wasn't trying to stir anything up. Daniele comes in to the Popsicle room to tell Jordan that she is safe this week and Jordan is skeptical, but she tells Jeff what Daniele said.
Jordan introduces Jeff to her Have Not room and Jeff says from the Penthouse to the Outhouse. In the Have Not room, Brendon points out to the rest of the foursome that Daniele is only safe for the week and whoever is left will come after her. He notes that she is coming after them, but doesn't know which of them she is coming after.
Daniele opens her Head of Household room and Brendon goes, but is reluctant. There are pictures of her grandma. Jeff says that going up to Daniele's HOH room is kind of like going to an execution but the executioner invites you to their apartment beforehand. Rachel says that the only person excited to go up was Lawon who got to wear the HOH robe.
Later that evening Lawon tells Shelly that he feels better with a man in a relationship and Jordan asks him how his family took it. He says that his grandma told him to be the best black gay man he could be and it lifted a rock from his stomach. Jordan says that a Lawon is a good man, but he is always so funny and lighthearted that it was a pleasure to hear him speak more deeply. Lawon says that the main thing in coming out was to not sacrifice his happiness.
Jordan and Jeff go up to talk with Daniele in the Head of Household room. Jeff asks where her head is. Daniele says that it was a game move and not a personal attack to separate them. Daniele says that she has to get her back covered this week and she offers to right the wrong by keeping them safe this week if they will keep her safe next week. Jeff says that will take it. He says that he has to look after Jordan and him and he doesn't want to know her plans for nominations.
Adam gets his elf costume. He is greeted by the houseguests with much laughter. Porsche says that he is taking his elf suit like a champ. Jeff says that none of the elves at the North Pole chain smoke. Lawon tells him to rock on. Rachel decides to run the yard with Porsche and they decide to run a mile. Rachel falls and gets right back up. Jordan asks Jeff if he loves her and he says no. She says she is going to be HOH next week. Daniele announces the Have Not food for the week and it is seaweed and sardines.
Brendon and Rachel talk with Daniele in the Head of Household room. Brendon talks personally first and tells her that he was hurt. She explains that she was with them and wasn't trying to hurt their game. Rachel says that they deeply hurt each other and she knows she hurt Daniele. She says that moving forward they need to work together. Brendon says that he hopes that they can work together and put it behind them. He says that they promise that if she keeps them in the game they will not come after her next week. They ask for a deal and Daniele says that she is not making deals right now but hearing people out. She promises that she will think about it and they leave with a hug.
One responsibility of the Head of Household is to nominate two houseguests for eviction. Jeff thinks that he is going to go up as he was her target one week ago. Brendon says that if Daniele is a smart gamer and if so she wouldn't want them to come after her. Jordan hopes that she keeps her word to her. Daniele says that she is not here for revenge or vindication, she is here for herself. Rachel feels that she and Brendon are in grave danger this week.
Daniele opens the ceremony by pulling out Adam's key. Nobody should be too nervous and spoil their elf suit. Adam pulls out Kalia's key and Kalia pulls out Shelly's key. Shelly pulls out Lawon's key and Lawon pulls out Jordan's key. Jordan pulls out Porsche's key and Porsche pulls out Jeff's key. Daniele decides to nominate Brendon and Rachel.
Daniele says that this is the best move for her when nobody else would do it and they drew the first sword in the game last week. Jeff feels that he is still not safe. Brendon says that he will do what any man who is in love would do for his girl, win the Power of Veto and keep her safe. Daniele says in the diary room that she is not afraid to make a big move and no matter, if one of them wins the Power of Veto, one of them goes home. She will make sure of it.
