After The Final Rose

{sidebar id=2}Hello and welcome to The Bachelor: After The Final Rose. We are about to find out what happened to Ben and Courtney after the proposal we saw five minutes ago.
Chris Harrison says we will find out what happened when Ben watched this season, are the affair rumors true and are they still together. He asks that we withhold judgment until we hear what Ben and Courtney have to say.Ben joins Chris and says he is still in love with Courtney. They talk a bit about how Courtney acted on TV and Ben says it was difficult to watch because that is not the Courtney he knows. He says there was not much he could do since the other girls did not give him concrete examples of her bad behavior. He wishes she could have been more gracious and it made it harder on him in those moments. He admits they did not talk while the show aired and they even broke up for awhile. He says they needed to step back and reassess, and that was the low of the relationship.
Chris asks about the tabloids that claim he had cheated. He swears on his father’s grave that he never cheated on Courtney and he never kissed those women---they are just friends.
Ben says that after that, they talked and Courtney tried on wedding dresses to screw with everyone. Chris says they are weird and perfect for each other.
Courtney comes out. Ben is gone for the moment so that he can give her some privacy. Chris wonders why she only got a smattering of applause and some boos. She says this has been really hard on her. She feels responsible and says she should have watched herself some more.
Chris asks her about the broken engagement and she says that things were really good for awhile and they even spent Thanksgiving together. She says that then a big storm rolled in and he didn't even send her a card for Valentine's Day. She adds that she felt abandoned by Ben when she needed him most.
Chris asks Courtney if they are together and she isn't sure. She says that she loves him and breaks down in tears. He asks what she wants and she says a relationship and for them to work things out.
Ben joins Chris and Courtney on the stage. He hugs and kisses Courtney as he sits down. Chris asks if there are trust issues and where they stand. Ben says they are engaged and in a good place. They touch a bit more on what happened and how abandoned Courtney felt. She says she can't trust him completely yet. She is choosing to believe what he says.
Ben says that not being together played a role in how things played out. They talk a bit more and Chris asks Ben if he can look Courtney in the eye and say he won't abandon her. He promises not to abandon her and admits he messed up with the way he handled things.
We get a look back on the engagement as Ben and Courtney watch it themselves for the first time. Chris asks Ben if he still feels the same way. Ben says yes. Chris says that he has been carrying Courtney's ring all day and says he wasn't sure how this was going to go today. He asks Ben what he should do with the ring and if he and Courtney are still engaged. Ben gives Courtney the ring back and they seal it with a kiss. They think that there will be a wedding in the future.
Surprise! It is Ashley and JP from last season's Bachelorette! They are here to discuss how their lives changed since the show. Chris asks how they feel about the Courtney/Ben debacle. Ashley can relate to how Courtney was treated and she hopes she and Ben can work things out in the long run.
JP says splitting doesn't necessarily mean a red flag and all that matters is the positive people around them. He hopes the worst is behind them. He knows how hard it is to not be there when the show is airing and he can't be with her when all the bad stuff is coming out.
Ashley and JP joke that they are like an old married couple. JP says Ashley is pregnant and JUST KIDDING SHE ISN'T! Ashley is done with school and says that they will probably be married within the year. Chris is invited and says he will get ordained so he can marry them. That would be so cute!
Chris asks about kids and says that Chris or Christina are nice names. They say they want kids soon.
Ashley gives Emily Maynard this advice: be strong, it will be hard but it will lead to good.
