Season Finale Recap For March 12, 2012

Hello and welcome to the dramatic season finale of The Bachelor. Or The One Where Ben Gets Engaged. Will he choose his first impression rose recipient Lindzi or Courtney, who he has been smitten for most of the season? We will soon find out.
We laos see the two women enjoying their time in Switzerland. Aw, Courtney is playing with a cat. So cute….the cat looks like my Aragorn.
Ben is soon joined by his mom and sister. Cue happy family reunion and him sharing his journey and feelings for the women with them. His sister thinks the problems with Courtney are a red flag. He hopes to convince them that whomever he chooses is the right person but knows his sister never approves of who he dates anyway.
LINDZI MEETS BEN’S FAMILY
Ben and Lindzi greets Barbara (mom) and Julia (sister) with hugs and kisses. They sit down to chat and Ben talks about Lindzi arriving on a horse and giving her the First Impression Rose.
They sit down to lunch and Lindzi is so nervous she keeps dropping things all over the place.
Lindzi spends time talking to Barbara and Julia. Julia is interested in what Lindzi thinks of Courtney. Lindzi thinks Courtney is different than her and shut off. This gives more red flags to Julia, who shares her concerns with Ben.
COURTNEY MEETS BEN’S FAMILY
His family is still worried about what they have heard about her. Courtney hopes they like her.
After a little bit of chit chat, Julia takes Courtney aside and voices her concerns. Courtney tries to defend herself but is still nervous about what Julia thinks of her.
While talking to Barbara, she gushes over Ben—a little over the top for meeting mom for the first time. She then gets more serious and says she is in love and it is like a fairy tale for her. They proceed to have a heart to heart about the experience and what will happen.
Julia tells Ben that she thinks Courtney is sweet and it felt natural with Lindzi. He has her approval.
After Courtney leaves, Ben talks to Barbara and Julia about the girls. The gist of it is Lindzi is wife material and Courtney is more of what he wants. They give their blessings either way.
LINDZI'S LAST DATE
Ben greets her in a horse and carriage and they go for a ride together. They decide to go skiing by the Matterhorn and enjoy a picinic, where they talk about what his family thinks of her. They like her and they have his family's support. They talk about the future and life in general. They of course make out and finally go skiing.
That night, Ben visits Lindzi in her hotel room and she has wine and candles for them. They discuss their date and how they feel about each other. It is bascially a rehash of what we have heard all season.
The night ends with them making out.
Yeah, either I fell asleep or the date was that boring.
COURTNEY'S LAST DATE
Ben whisks her away in a helicopter. The view of Switzerland they see is gorgeous. I am jealous. They ohh and ahh over everything they see and then seem more into each other than what is around them.
The chopper lands and tjeu enjoy lunch, snowballs and making out. They talk about feelings and the journey they both went through. Basically, it is the same stuff we heard all season again. I tune out until they begin making snow angels and sledding, which is followed by more--surprise--making out.
Ben visits Courtney in her hotel room and they enjoy wine and more making out. She has a gift for him so she takes his hand and leads him to the bedroom......to give him......a box with a scrapbook in it. It contains pictures, love letters and memories. Didn't Blakeley do this too before she got the boot? They look it over and go back to the living room to talk some more about his family, her problems with the girls and how she was upset he told his family about it. It causes a bit of a disagreement and he leaves her wondering what is going to happen. She loves him and is scared of getting her heart broken.
WHO WILL BEN CHOOSE?
We get yet another montage of Ben's journeys with the girls from everyone's point of view. We get it, everyone is in love. Someone will get their heart broken. It was an incredible journey.
Neil Lane is back to once again help Ben choose a ring for his chosen woman. He never thought he would do this again and hopes it lasts this time. He chooses a ring and Neil wishes him luck.
The girls get ready and wonder what the day will bring. The girls take off in helicopters and head to Ben.
WILL YOU MARRY ME.......OR WILL I REJECT YOU?
Lindzi meets Chris Harrison, who wishes her luck as she walks towards Ben. She thinks about how much she loves him. When she gets to Ben, he tells her how much he loves her how much he means to her. He says he fell in love with her, but needs those moments to last a lifetime--and he found it with someone else. He is in love with someone else. This didn't come easy and it is the hardest thing he's ever had to do. (Cue that 98 Degrees song from 1999.) He walks her out and he apologizes to her. She is mad at herself and wishes he could have given Ben what he needed. She wishes him luck and says to call her if things don't work out.
She walks away in tears thinks he will look like a fool if he wants to marry Courtney. She cries and says she wants to go home.
Courtney looks back on her journey and says she is a good person and that good things happen to good people. Chris greets her with a hug and walks her over to Ben.
Ben tells her she took his breath away and tells her all about how his feelings for her grew during this journey. He says he would not get down on her knee unless he knew is was forever....and she is his forever. He has waited so long to tell her how in love he is with her and every step of the journey has been worth is. He gets down on one knee and proposes to her. She is like 'oh, my God!' and says yes! She squeals over the ring and they promise to love each other forever. He asks her to accept the final rose and she says yes.
They declare their love for each other and say they found their fairy tale with each other.
