The Bachelor
Recap For February 27, 2012
By Sammi-T
Hello and welcome to The Bachelor, Fantasy Suite Week! Tonight, Ben and our final three girls—Lindzi, Courtney and Nicki will go to Switzerland. Each girl will have the opportunity to spend the night with Ben in the Fantasy Suite.
Commercial break. Titanic in 3D? REALLY? I remember being in ninth grade and all the girls crying over Jack dying and guys taking their girlfriends to the movie and cheering when this happened. Yes, there were a lot of break ups during this time. But I digress.
Back to Nicki. She gets the first date and is whisked away on a helicopter. The view is majestic and unlike anything she has ever seen. I agree, it is gorgeous. I think I am going to add 'Visit Switzerland’ to my bucket list, along with finally getting my personal training certification and interviewing William Shatner and John Walsh.
The two finally land and Nicki says she feels safe with him. They settle down for a picnic and talk about her family and how much everyone liked each other. There is of course kissing and yelling from the mountains. She says she is in love and her feelings are at an all time high.
They go back in the helicopter and he says he doesn’t want the date to end. He hopes she says yes to an overnight so he can get…I mean continue his love story. She says this can be the start of something great. I now have the urge to listen to the High School Musical soundtrack.
Over dinner and wine, they continue the conversation about their journey, getting to know each other, families, heartbreak, religion, politics and the Great Pumpkin. OK, maybe not those last three, but my attention was drifting because we heard fifteen thousand versions of this talk before.
Ben presents Nicki with the Fantasy Suite card and says he can learn a lot about her from this night. I’m not touching that one with a ten foot pole. Nicki says this is a big deal and they have an emotional and physical connection. There is a fire and candles and hopefully some protection.
Before they start making out, they talk about his dad, connections and to me the first part is a bit creepy, especially when you are about to hook up with someone.
The night ends with them making out in a bubbly Jacuzzi.
Lindzi gets the second date and is incredibly excited to see him and be in Switzerland. Oh, honey, even though he was with Nicki most likely doing the nasty last night? I'm not sure I would want to be with a man after that. But that is just me and I am not on this show competing for a man.
This date will be repeling off a ledge. She is freaking out. He hates heights and is also nervous. He thinks this will be a bonding experience that will bring them closer together. Um, ok. I would run for the hills if someone made me repel. They hold hands as they go down and freak out together. At the end, they make out and he whisks her off to her next surprise.
Next up is talking and making out in a pool. He tells her basically the same stuff he told Nicki last night--and even tells us the same stuff. He loves her and wants to spend the night with her. Tonight is a telling sign of what's to come. (Again, not touching that with a ten-foot pole.)
Over dinner, they talk about her relationships, being guarded and her feelings. Again, haven't we heard this all before? She tells him straight out she wants a proposal in the end and he admits (to the audience) that he is really starting to love her.
Ben hands her the card that invites her to the Fantasy Suite. She says she is usually not that kind of girl, but tonight she will accept the invitation.
They head to the suite and make out on the porch. She feels that it is real and she is in love with Ben. They both like where it is going and keep making out. He leads her to the bed and she has visions of them spending the rest of their lives together as they make out. He sees himself with her for the rest of his life.
The night ends with them closing the door.
The last date is for Courtney. Ben says he has serious feelings for her as she runs into his arms. He whisks her off for a train tour of Switzerland and they take everything in. He admires how much she is willing to learn and she just loves the whole experience.
Over a picnic lunch that they shopped for, they play Hey, Cow, which is when you yell Hey Cow and if it looks up, you win.
As they eat, they talk about her behavior in the house and she worries that it may cost her Ben. She feels bad for what she has done and hopes that Ben can see that.
Later that night, they enjoy wine and continue to talk about her behavior with the girls, her trust issues and she finally apologizes for how she behaved toward the other girls. Ben is happy to hear her apologize and offers her the Fantasy Suite Card, which she happily accepts.
The night ends with them making out in a hot tub.
We get a look at Emily Maynard and her experience preparing for The Bachelorette. She meets with Ashley Hebert and Ali Fedodowsky. They give her advice, take her shopping and give her a makeover. They also take her to a special screening of Titanic 3D. Ashley compares the way Jack looks at Rose to how JP looks at her. She wants Emily to have her love story. Emily knows this is a risk and won't settle for anything less than what she deserves. The day ends with them toasting her.
KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK. BEN? KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK. BEN? KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK. BEN?
No, Sheldon Cooper is not visiting, but there is someone at the door. It is Kacie B, who is back to talk to Ben. She tearfully talks to him and asks why he dumped her. She was so confident in what they had and can't get it out of her mind. He tells her that he doesn't think he could give her what she needed and that they needed different things. He says he still cares about her and wants what is best, so this is his way of protecting her. She says it is nice to have answers but it doesn't make it any better. She then warns him about Courtney and says she wants him to be happy. He kind of just sits there and has no idea what to say. She leaves and he is more confused than ever.
ROSE CEREMONY
After as pep talk from Chris, Ben thinks about each woman and the decision he has to make. Chris escorts each woman to the room and tells them this is the last rose ceremony before Ben proposes. He introduces Ben, who thanks them for trusting him and being with him through this journey. Trusting a guy with other women. Oh-kay! Even when all this is over, I would think it would be hard to trust him. i know it is just a TV show, but still....
Lindzi and Courtney get roses. Nicki is sent home in tears. BOTH girls hug her and then Ben walks her out. She says she hopes he is making the right decision. He thanks her and says her gentleness, kindness and everything don't go unnoticed. She and her family are incredible, and he cried making this decision. He goes on to say she deserves everything. She says she fell in love and has no regrets. She hopes that whomever he chooses treats him well. They say goodbye and good luck.
In the limo Nicki cries and says she feels like a fool. She thought she was ready to be a wife and mom but now it will take awhile.
Ben, Lindzi and Courtney toast to their next adventure.
Join us next week for the Women Tell All reunion. It promises to be EPIC! Goodnight!
